Have a couplke of Newcastle fan mates who lament the lack of pace in their side Weale Neilson Morrison Hobbs Berner (supposed to be fit i believe) N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Fryatt Waghorn Subs: Logan, Brown, Powell, Oakley, Gallagher, Kermorgant, Solano
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Neilson Hobbs Morrison Berner (if not fit then Powell) N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Fryatt Howard Subs: Logan, Brown, McGivern, Kermorgant, Waghorn, Gallagher, Solano
RizLCFC Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale O'Neil Hobbs Brown PowellN'Guessan King Wellens DyerFryatt Waghorn Subs: Logan, Morrison, Oakley, Solano, Kermorgant, Gallagher & Howard. Weale Morrison, Hobbs, Brown, Berner (if fit) or Powell N'Guessan, King, Wellens, Dyer Fryatt, Waghorn Subs: Logan, Oakley, Solano, Kermorgant, Gallagher, Howard, McGivern
lcfcsnow Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 He'll go like for like with a 4-5-1, as Pearson is fast turning into a spoiler... just we only have Kermorgant and Howard as target men.
Corky Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown Berner/Powell N'Guessan Wellens King Dyer Fryatt Howard Subs: Logan, Berner/Powell, Oakley, Gallagher, Solano, Waghorn, McGivern
Nationwider Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale O'Neil Hobbs Brown PowellN'Guessan King Wellens DyerFryatt Waghorn Subs: Logan, Morrison, Oakley, Solano, Kermorgant, Gallagher & Howard. I agree that King is worth a shout. I can't see any fecker getting past Enrique so I'd probably play Oakley or Nobby in there deeper next to the middle two and try some pace down the left as Simpson is injured. Not sure that throwing O'Neill in against Gutierrez on live TV is that fair on the lad. Better to let Neilsen or Morrison suffer.
SMX11 Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 GK: Weale DR: Neilson- we miss him DC: Morrison DC: Hobbs DL: Berner- please be fit MR: N'Guessan MC: King MC: Wellens ML: Dyer ST: Fryatt ST: Waghorn Oakley sold to Derby before saturday Solano may start imo.
reynard Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 2 wingers are a must. Have a couplke of Newcastle fan mates who lament the lack of pace in their side Surely they have more pace than we do. The local care home has more pace than us.
Bert Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison Berner - If not fit, McGivern, simply because of Powell's recovery time. Brown Hobbs Solano/N'Guessan Dyer Wellens King Waghorn Fryatt Subs: Logan Neilson LB Oakley Gallagher Howard Kermogant
Guest Bilo Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale © Morrison Hobbs Brown Berner (if fit)N'Guessan King Wellens DyerFryatt Waghorn Subs: Logan, O'Neill, Oakley, Solano, Kermorgant, Gallagher & Howard.
Lisburn Fox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison Brown Hobbs Berner/Powell Salano (Worth a shot against former team) King Wellens Waghorn/Dyer I would give Waghorn a go on the left of a front 3 if not Dyer 4 4 2. Fryatt Howard Subs: Logan, Powell, O'niell, N'Guesson, Gallagher, Dyer/Waghorn, A couple of the youth team. No McGivern, No Nielson Go at them hard and fast from the off.
Jimothy Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale O'Neill - simply because I want to see a right back at right back, Neilson isn't good enough and I'd rather see a kid making mistakes and learning from them than a 29 year old who is never going to learn. Morrison Hobbs Berner - if fit. If not Powell N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Gallagher Fryatt Subs Logan Brown Oakley Solano Howard Waghorn Kermogant Another option would be to go Weale O'Neill Morrison Hobbs Berner Solano King Wellens Dyer N'Guessan Fryatt Subs Logan Brown Oakley Gallagher Howard Waghorn Kermogant
Bert Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Forget my earlier team. WealeMorrison Hobbs Brown Solano ----------------- McGivern Oakley Wellens King Fryatt Waghorn This would contain the midfield, the flanks would have genuine width and we'd always have a spare centre half to sweep up.
Leicfox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Taylor (Straight in when we sign him) Berner Solano Wellens Dyer Gallagher Fryatt Waghorn 4-3-1-2
Bert Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Taylor (Straight in when we sign him) Berner Solano Wellens Dyer Gallagher Fryatt Waghorn 4-3-1-2 Not read this then?
Leicfox Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Not read this then? Ooops no i never. I'll have to go back to potting the Brown then.
StanSP Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale O'Neil Hobbs Brown PowellN'Guessan King Wellens DyerFryatt Waghorn Subs: Logan, Morrison, Oakley, Solano, Kermorgant, Gallagher & Howard. I'd go with that actually. Maybe Morrison instead of O'Neill, but other than that...it looks good. Need Dyer's pace to run at Newcastle. Anyone actually know when Berner is likely to return?
maddog Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown PowellN'Guessan King Solano DyerFryatt Kermorgant Subs: Logan, McGivern, Oakley, Wellens, Waghorn, Gallagher & Howard.
Guest ttfn Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown McGivern (only because Powell can't play 2 games in a week) N'Guessan Wellens King Dyer Fryatt Waghorn subs: Howard, Logan, Solano, Oakley, Powell, Neilson, Gallagher. I think Pearson will play the team above, but Oakley for Dany and Howard for Waghorn. We need to go out and play without fear. Newcastle are there for the taking at the moment.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Weale Morrison - Hobbs - Brown - BernerOakleyN'Guessan --------------- DyerKingFryatt - Waghorn In my opinion this formation would then give the option of the wider players to push forward whilst having Oakley further back to back up the defense. Having King further forward then backs the forwards which should then provide a more positive attack line. The major draw back is that it could leave the midfield slightly depleted at times but if King was to drop further back when off the ball then it could work as Oakley would be able to back him up in the centre. Thoughts?
marbelladave Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 Play 4-4-2 with 2 wingers and 2 men up front......... :crylaugh: Nolan, Smith and Guthrie will own the middle of the park. Why the hell do you think we have had to play Oakley in (narrow) left midfield? Surely some of you can count to 3 and work it out! :dunno:

Guest DavidJCW Posted 26 January 2010 Posted 26 January 2010 How open do you want the midfield against one of the better attacking teams in the league? A diamond with wingers - crazy stuff Well I was thinking that if King dropped back more often so it was a more central role then it would work better as it'd provide some defensive cover with Oakley whilst also covering the midfield. In all honesty I should have set it out more like this: Weale Morrison - Hobbs - Brown - BernerOakleyN'Guessan - King - DyerFryatt - Waghorn
