Refs been poor! Vidic- clear sending off, but not given a yellow!

Collins and Downing- if Vidic never got even a yellow for a lastman challenge, how in hell do they get a yellow. NO CONSISTENCY AT ALL.

No surprise though, Man U always get the decision

I absolutely adore DavieG. His cycnism and miserableness is always top notch :P

Glad to be of service. :D:thumbup:

You'd be surprised to know I'm actually enjoying the game and crap refereeing has become part and parcel of it. I rarely comment on the actual football because that's there to savour.

Cynic is my birthname

How cringeworthy are the Carling ads down the side of the pitch?

"Fletcher > Maradonna"

Just for ld3 - they wouldn't have won if Vidic had been rightly red carded.

I doubt we'll hear much from Fergie about poor/inconsistent/anti-ManU refereeing anytime soon.

Vidic being sent off would've had a huge impact for me.

If the ref made the correct decision (and it wasnt a hard decision), United would've played near enough the whole match with 10 men, without their best defender. This definately would of have made an impact in favour of Villa, as Agbonlahor's strength and pace would've teared United to shreds without Vidic.

People will say it was because it was the 4th minute, but whether its 1st or last minute, denying a goalscoring opportunity is a STRAIGHT RED CARD.

Like someone said earlier, i bet Fergie isn't gonna complain about Phil Dowd now. Big teams get the decisions too much

Only saw the second half, Man Utd looked the better side and deservedly won.

Shame for MON, would've liked to have seen him win this cup again.

We'll never know. I personally don't think it would have made a tremendous difference, especially if you take into consideration Man Utd's recent performance at Villa Park with 10 men.

But then it was Nani sent off after around 30mins. This would've been Vidic for the whole game. Nani's a good player, but can be replaced. Vidic can not imo, as Man Utd's only defensive sub would've been Brown, who is no match for Vidic.

Would have made a huge difference. 1-0 up against ten men, no matter who you are playing, you are going to fancy your chances.
