Matt Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Leicester City look to hit top gear after day of go-karting.Leicester City's players have been gearing up for tomorrow's big clash with promotion rivals Cardiff City by hitting the go-kart track. The City squad headed to a circuit in Loughborough earlier this week for a spot of wheel-to-wheel racing. And while it was all good fun, Michael Morrison revealed there was a serious side to the day out. With 12 games to go, City are embroiled in a fascinating but pressurised battle for a play-off spot and, after last week's defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, City kick off another sequence of eight games in 23 days with the visit of the Bluebirds. "It was important, especially after that bad result last week," said defender Morrison. "We want to keep the momentum going and keep the good vibe that is around the place. "It was a nice day out and the boys had a good laugh. It is important because, while you see each other at the training ground, everyone goes home to their families and it is nice to do some team-bonding and get to know each other a bit more. "I think on the pitch it shows because we all celebrate a goal together, and if something is going on we all have each others' back." Morrison revealed the boy-racers who won the challenge were Richie Wellens and Alex Bruce, but he also said there were a few of his team-mates he would not get in a car with. "I won't be getting in a car with Dany N'Guessan or Nolberto Solano very quickly," he said. "Brucie and Richie won it fair and square and they were quite good, although they had the fastest cart. "They were trying to teach us racing lines but I don't think Lloyd Dyer heard them because on the first corner he went straight into the barrier." City have a clean bill of health to face Cardiff, although there have been a few issues with nose injuries. Goalkeeper Chris Weale has been left with a nasty looking wound on his nose after the collision that saw him substituted at Sheffield Wednesday last week but is fit, while new signing James Vaughan was left with a bloody nose after his first training session. "Chris' nose is not pretty and I can't imagine he will be doing very well with the ladies at the moment," said Morrison. "As for Vaughan, on his first day Robbie Neilson hit him in the face with the ball, leaving him with a nose bleed, so that wasn't the best of starts. "But he looked quality in training and I am sure he is going to be a good signing for us."
Joe. Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Lloyd crashing into the barrier. Doesn't surprise me one bit.

lcfcadam Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Great read - got a genuine little chuckle out of that bit about Neilson...
Guest Bilo Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 A genuinely good read, pretty funny reading about Neilson hitting Vaughan. The comment about Weale not doing too well with the ladies because of his nose made me chuckle a bit as well.
lildave3 Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 At Lloyd into the barrier and Neilson spooning it into Vaughan's face.

JJ Whisper Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 ? Basically from where I sit there is a nice view of Mr Weale which is so very much worth not going to watch the tigers, In the words of the stupid teenagers I work with "he's well fit innit" (in a lesta styley) must be my northern upbringing of which I quite often to not use "to the" when talking to friends but that sentence is just wrong.

Okay I think I get it now - if I was a girl I'm pretty sure he'd be no Morrisson or Waghorn though (not to mention that sexy beast McGivern)...
