BoneDog Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Well after that start didn't expect to see 2 full rounds! Great punch from Haye
Edmund Posted 3 April 2010 Author Posted 3 April 2010 Fairplay to Ruiz, god knows how he's still standing after the 1st round.
BoneDog Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Ucking good stuff this is. Haye landing a great left in that round plus a great 1,2 that bost the nose
Daggers Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Fairplay to Ruiz, god knows how he's still standing after the 1st round. Amazing. Simply amazing. His whole head rippled.
BoneDog Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Well these two will have a new respect for eachother after this pisser!! Action frickin Jackson
Daggers Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 When was the last time someone took the punches that Ruiz has swallowed?
BoneDog Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 When was the last time someone took the punches that Ruiz has swallowed? He was like Joe Frazier, taking the punishment but just keeps marching on!
ScouseFox Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Still shocked Ruiz lasted that long! Awesome, simply awesome from Haye.
Cat Burger Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Probably the best he's ever been, but you still had the feeling he could raise it watching that.
BoneDog Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Well that was well worth £15. Should be on BBC but never mind Surely it's gonna be one of the Klitschko brothers next after this? That will be like watchin Rocky 4 when you're a kid, awesome.
Edmund Posted 3 April 2010 Author Posted 3 April 2010 Decent fight in the end. Haye looked awesome but you really have to credit Ruiz and the amount of punches he withstood. One of the klitschko brothers next.
Daggers Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Well that was well worth £15. Should be on BBC but never mind Surely it's gonna be one of the Klitschko brothers next after this? That will be like watchin Rocky 4 when you're a kid, awesome. Absolutely. Something we can agree on and not a single Youtoob video required.
Matt Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 Fucking brilliant! Can't believe I turned the opportunity to go to that just so I could say "I was there" that was amazing! I forgot to quote them but yes Haye was brilliant and it's hard to believe but I do think he can go up another level from that. 1 of the Klitchko's next and that will again be the toughest yet. Fair play and respect to John Ruiz aswell! He was a amazing too and took some punishment, although he looked fucked, hurt, and nothing left in the locker he still stood up, threw punches (That hurt Haye) for so long.
Nick Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 Programme starts at 9 - so I'd be guessing 11 ish for the main event. (I have to go Tesco first I'll let you know how it goes Edmund) Went into the bookies yesterday - Ruiz is 66-1 to win in every round. Ruiz is 10 years older and a good few more fights and losses under his belt - He could last 12 rounds against Haye though they have the same reach but slightly different fighting styles - Ruiz won't get inside enough, Haye to control the ring. I reckon a late knockout/stopage round 9 is 16-1; round 12 is 25-1........ I'll have a punt at round 8/9. This'll either go the distance of go to Haye via stopage methinks. Ker-ching.... £160 English pounds... LURVERLY!
Nick Posted 4 April 2010 Posted 4 April 2010 Anybody please got a link as to where I could watch the fight again? Cheers, N.
