Libertine Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I hope were sticking wih 4-3-3. Oakley, King and Wellens as a midfield 3. And Dyer and Waghorn playing the winger role's behind Kermit I would've thought so. Hopefully anyway.
Hitesh Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Interesting selection. Could do with Kermo getting on the scoresheet! Subs logan, adams,n'guessan, spearing, gallagher, howard, solano No McGivern on the bench either...
Dylan Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 No McGivern on the bench? I know he's pathetic but surely he's worthy of the bench as defensive cover/
lcfcsnow Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I hope were sticking wih 4-3-3. Oakley, King and Wellens as a midfield 3. And Dyer and Waghorn playing the winger role's behind Kermit I hope not, it's not worked away from home since it turns into a 4-5-1 under Pearsons instructions. Its not been working lately anyway so time to change it around.
Dylan Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Also, would've liked Spearing to start ahead of Oakley.

Its not been working lately so time to change it around. Well Oakley on the right doesn't sound too good. Would rather have had Adams start if we were playing 442. Is James Vaughan still injured?
dandannieldanok Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Glad to see Powell in there, the second time grandpa's had to come in for McGivern, surely now thats the end of Ryan at this club.
samjohnson Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 wait wait wait.... WHAT!! POWELL!! Is he expecting a penalty shootout!?!? But yet again,.. anybody is better than McGivern
MikeyT Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 No McGivern on the bench? I know he's pathetic but surely he's worthy of the bench as defensive cover/ Didn't see N'guessan mentioned on the bench either, or am i deaf and blind?
Sylvie85 Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Fancy us to win by 2 or 3 today, but would settle for a 1-0. Not sure about the changes, just have to keep my fingers crossed.
sdb Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 McGivern - ouch!! Hopefully Powell can just be solid. Not a back line blessed with pace is it?! (not that is usually is)
Libertine Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Didn't see N'guessan mentioned on the bench either, or am i deaf and blind? Beaf and dind. He's there. No defenders on the bench at all. Bar Solano being able to fill in at RB. Bizarre.
fatmando Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Hope it works Nige! :fc: Good to see Yann starting, c'mon Yann, do the biz!
Karljohn Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 I thought Spearing could play at left back? according to what some of the scousers said?
Salieri Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Hope it works Nige! :fc: Good to see Yann starting, c'mon Yann, do the biz! He'd better cos with no McGivern in the team he's in pole position to be 'whipping boy of the day'. <_<
Guest nathan. Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Got a feeling Kermo's going to score today. Come on City :scarf:
flanimal Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Dude, Kermorgant is desperate for a goal. He'll become a vastly better player once he bangs a goal in.
lildave3 Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Ohh god. I hope the Yann gamble pays off with a goal. It needs to.
Jordan Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Hmm. I'm glad Powell's getting a start today, and I think he'll do fine. I'm a bit perplexed, however, thinking about what Kermogant has done to deserve a spot in the starting XI. Mind you, I'm not disappointed that Pearson is going with a no-nonsense, hoof-ball suited lineup. I'd be satisfied with a point and Pearson has options on the bench if he needs to open up the game. edit: looks like 4-4-2 as well. The 4-3-3 (or 4-3-2-1) was doing well but it might be time to freshen things up a bit. I didn't get to follow the Reading game closely, but in the second half of the Coventry game, Chris Coleman seemed to have found a soft spot right in the middle of City's 4-3-3. He made McPake, the center half, push forward and almost play like an extra midfielder after about the 55th minute and Coventry were able to dominate possession.
Anish Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Bold move by Pearson. Either he's realised that McGivern is a liability or he's realised that the fans have got on McGivern's back too much that he's trying to relieve the pressure. Whatever the reasoning, it's good news as far as I'm aware. I hope Kermorgant plays the striker's role with Waghorn and Dyer the wide men. Disappointed that Oakley hasn't been dropped but that would probably have been too radical for Pearson.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Hope Kermorgant plays upfront and doesn't tend to sit in midfield like he normally does.
MikeyT Posted 27 March 2010 Posted 27 March 2010 Beaf and dind. He's there. No defenders on the bench at all. Bar Solano being able to fill in at RB. Bizarre. Cool, cheers.
