chili_con_carne Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Can you become a member for the rest of the season now? If so how much is it.
davieG Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Can you become a member for the rest of the season now? If so how much is it. You can - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=65687&view=findpost&p=1607033 But I don't know the cost, I guess it will be the same as it was at the start of the season.
unreachable Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 The membership page on the OS www.lcfc.com is now effectively blank and has removed application forms for membership. On Radio Leicester's Phone In last night the Ticket Manager Chris Tingarden (sp?) said that memberships were cancelled except for overseas fans I think.
Babylon Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 I just called and enquired about becoming a member and they said I couldn't??? Although I did say for this season, I'm guessing if I said next season I could? Anyone else taken out a membership?
unreachable Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 Just replayed Radio Leicester's Phone In from last night and the actual words of Ticketing Manager Chris Tingarden (sp?) were "we're calling a halt as of now" to new memberships. They had been doing a "handful" of new memberships over the last week "predominantly for overseas fans who were making travel arrangements...."

I hate myself... if I miss this I'll only have myself to blame!! Arrrrrrgh... i've been to 3/4 of home games paying full whack and I could miss out... IDIOT.
Anish Posted 27 April 2010 Posted 27 April 2010 I don't mean to come across as smug or anything, but I think the club is right for not accepting new memberships. I'm a platinum plus member and forked out my money at the start of the season. Admittedly, I have got the benefit of being a member for this season but I wouldn't have liked it if the club accepted new memberships now and those new members would have equal priority to me when it came to play off tickets. The club quite rightly prioritises season ticket holders and it has also done the right thing in prioritising members in this instance, over non-members.

Well you are coming across as smug because nobody is saying the club are wrong. People were just trying to exploit a possible loop hole, which as it turns out have already been closed. I've already said it's my own fault, I've paid out more for tickets going to 3 quarters of the games than I would have had I bought a season ticket. I'd been telling my mates we needed to get a membership all season but we never got around to it. I'm pretty sure i'll still be able to get a ticket, even if I have to fork out £55 and go in the corporate bit.
MC Prussian Posted 28 April 2010 Posted 28 April 2010 I'm quite happy to be smug about being a member. Soon, I'll be following you all suit - being an overseas supporter and all.
James. Posted 28 April 2010 Posted 28 April 2010 I phoned up yesterday at about 1:30pm and had a membership application accepted. I then phoned up about 2 hours later to get one for my Dad and they said they were no longer taking in new members for the 09/10 season. Looks like I got very lucky to be accepted earlier in the day.
Foxy1984 Posted 28 April 2010 Posted 28 April 2010 How frustrating! I posted a membership form earlier in the week (when it was still on the website). Haven't heard anything back yet, so I can only assume it hasn't been processed!
CheshireFox Posted 5 May 2010 Posted 5 May 2010 the only answer is to keep the faith and join at the start of the season! you get a good deal anyway as you get money off tickets and in the shop etc. my dad thought i was mad saying we should renew ours this season 'just in the off chance we get to the playoffs' bet he's pretty glad we did now! mind you the postie may have stolen my tickets as they havent arrived 4 days later.....
