Candidcamera Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 I would go with this line up - Logan Solano Morrison Hobbs Berner Oakley/Spearing Wellens Dyer/N'Guessan Waghorn Fryatt/Howard Gallagher/King I really haven't been impressed with Weale since his Derby error. No place for Bruce but if Brown were fit I would play him and move Morrison to RB.
calum_lcfc Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Weale Morrison (if fit) Hobbs © Bruce Bruno N'Gussen Spearing Wellens Gallagher Howard Waghorn Subs :- Logan, Nobby, Brown (if fit), King, Vaughen, Kermit, Fryatt
milan_foxes Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Did anybody else notice Berner holding his back towards the end of the game? Hope he's fit for Wednesday. Don't worry we've got Chris powell! If he isn't, we're stuffed. Burke will rip McGivern to shreds like he did in the cup game.. Bruce at LB, Brown&Hobbs in the middle, Morrison and if he's not fit then Solano at RB. Could happen.
Ike O'Noclassed Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 If fit Morrison for Solano Play the 4-3-3 If fit put Vaughan as target Waggy in place of Dyer on left.
Joe. Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 No need for wholsale changes, but freshening things up top might help. Weale Solano --- Hobbs --- Bruce --- Berner Spearing --- Wellens --- King Gallagher --- Howard --- Waghorn I'd be tempted to keep it much tighter than that to begin with and test the water, but should we need a goal I think this is the formula for success. If we're going to play Howard I think that two alongside him could potentially work excellently for us. 4-4-2 would be the way to go from kick-off for me but I really can't decide who to go with. The wingers we have simply aren't good enough. I've changed my mind slightly. N'Guessan for Gallagher. Power and pace from the off and see how it goes.
Lisburn Fox Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown/Bruce Berner Dyer King Wellens Gallagher Howard Waghorn Subs: Logan, Bruce/Brown Salano, Spearing, Fryatt, N'guesson, Vaughn Spearing played well as did Nobby I just think Morrison gives us another big man for set pieces, King wasn't at his best but he can score goals. I know a lot on the forum rate Kerorgant but I'm sorry I just don't get it. We need to keep it tight, I originally thought the quicker we get a goal the better but the more I think about it I think that the longer they don't score again they will sit back the more they do that the mindset will be to defend then bang 78 Mins Howard 84 mins Fryatt before N,Guesson gets one on the break with the last kick of the game. Don't think I'll bother watching now as I know thats whats going to happen.  Did I say that out loud
Salieri Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 I would go with this line up - Logan Solano Morrison Hobbs Berner Oakley/Spearing Wellens Dyer/N'Guessan Waghorn Fryatt/Howard Gallagher/King I really haven't been impressed with Weale since his Derby error. Can't believe you're seriously suggesting replacing Weale who has been immense for us this season, with Logan, for a game of this magnitude.
caz05 Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Can't believe you're seriously suggesting replacing Weale who has been immense for us this season, with Logan, for a game of this magnitude. Im quite gob-smacked
Tilley Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Can't wait to see Big Steve knock their centre halves about abit and then it will hopefully free up more space for Waggy and co.
GGBluebird Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 how come a lot of you lot are not going for Fryatt ? Him and Steve Howard would be who i would have expected now both back
JadeFalcon Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 well after the totally shit effort from fryatt, he has no left foot, one on one with the keeper and he does what he has been doing all fooking season, as soon as he had brushed off the two defenders he should have had an instant lash at the ball, hell even lift it over the keeper he was that far out but no lets run it right at the keeper then boot it right at him, imho he doesnt even deserve to be on the bench. he should be left back at the training ground till next bloody season. Premiership class player ? my arse. with feet like that propper premiership class players will suss him out within seconds and have him running in circles all day
GGBluebird Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Who is going to be your main threat then ? Nguessan ? King ? I thought King was terrific in the league game with us at CCS. Im real looking forward to Wednesday but im a bag of nerves allready thinking about it. Chris Burke is struggling for us. Either McCormack or Etuhu pushing for a starting place. Have you lot got any injury concerns ?
The Doctor Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 how come a lot of you lot are not going for Fryatt ? Him and Steve Howard would be who i would have expected now both back no where near match fitness yet - a match fit fryatt would have finished that one on one on sunday.
davieG Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Leicester City will assess the fitness of defender Wayne Brown and striker James Vaughan ahead of tomorrow's massive play-off semi-final second leg at the Cardiff City Stadium. The duo were both left out of the squad for Sunday's first leg defeat to Cardiff City at the Walkers Stadium after picking up slight hamstring strains in training. Manager Nigel Pearson said their recovery would be monitored before a decision is made whether they can return to the squad for the second leg. However, he warned they would not be risked if they are not completely fit and said the City squad had enough strength in depth to cope. Alex Bruce did a solid job as Brown's replacement on Sunday, while Steve Howard returns after his suspension to bolster City's attacking options. Matty Fryatt also got another appearance under his belt since his injury absence. "It is too early to say if they will be ready," said Pearson. "They both have slight hamstring problems and we will look at who has picked up knocks today and have a look at things in training. "It is one of those things where we have a strong squad and we decided to go without them, but it has been a squad effort throughout the season and we have another tie coming up very quickly and we have to win it to keep our season alive. "We will have a look at it over the next couple of days and assess the situation. "We have lots of options going into the second leg. Steve Howard is available again and he is another player with big-game experience. "He has been disappointed to be missing for the last few games, but it is good that he is available and we will see how things pan out on Wednesday night." Fryatt was unable to convert City's best chance as they slumped to defeat on Sunday after he came on for only his second appearance after three months out with a broken jaw, but Pearson is confident he can make an impact in the second leg as City look to overturn a one-goal deficit. "It is good to have him back," he said. "He makes good runs and if he gets the opportunity again, who knows? He is a problem for defenders. "The second leg is coming up very quickly now and there is only one goal in it. It will be interesting." City are close to selling out their 2,000 ticket allocation for the second leg at the Cardiff City Stadium.

RowlattsFox Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Weale Morrison Bruce Hobbs Berner N'Guessan King Wellens Gallagher Howard Waghorn Subs: Logan, Solano, Spearing, Oakley, Dyer, Kermogant, Fryatt Bit harsh on Spearing but King's goal threat means he has to start for me.
Rich Fox Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Yep agree with that >> Weale Morrison Bruce Hobbs Berner N,Guessan Wellens King Vaughn Howard Waggy Drop Spearing? you must be joking.
Leicester_Mad Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 id go for this: Weale Morisson Hobbs Bruce Berner Gallagher King Wellens Dyer Howard Waghorn Subs: Logan Solano Brown Spearing N'Guessan Kermogant Vaughan Fryatt wont be in my squad. He wont challenge for a header due to his broken jaw and his miss shows he is lacking confidence. We cant afford to carry anyone on Wednesday night
Simi Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Interesting to see the turn around in Howard's popularity. He has to have had the biggest change in opinions throughout the last couple of seasons out of anyone. I've always liked him, although admit after this season he probably doesn't have a lot to offer us. Hope he can do the business tomorrow night.
