iancognito Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Bruce Berner Wellens King Spearing N'Guessan Howard Waghorn Morrison's presence will be useful at corners because they looked very frail at set pieces but I'd put in Bruce over Brown because he looked quicker to the ball and if Brown's got a dodgy hamstring, he won't want it testing against Bothroyd or Chopra on the breakaway. NGuessan did more in a few minutes than Gally did all game and deserves his chance though I have the suspicion that NP won't drop his Golden Boy.
colbo68 Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 We have got to go for this from the first whistle on Wednesday night, whilst staying strong at the back. This is the team id go for: Weale Morrison Hobbs Bruce Berner Spearing King Wellens Vaughan Howard Waghorn If Vaughan isnt fit then put N'Guessan on! Bit of a shame that Pearson couldn't sort out his differences with dj Campbell! Why the fook is he still at Blackpool!
Lichfieldfox. Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Weale Morrison Bruce Hobbs Berner Gallagher King Wellens Spearing Vaughan Waghorn Subs Logan Solano Brown Dyer N'Guessen Fryatt Howard
the buckwheat Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Weale Morrison Bruce Hobbs Berner Gallagher Spearing Wellens N'Guessan Kermorgant Waghorn Subs : Logan, Fryatt, Howard, Solano, King, Dyer
Leicester_Mad Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Bit of a shame that Pearson couldn't sort out his differences with dj Campbell! Why the fook is he still at Blackpool! were you the drunken leicester fan in a pub in oadby chatting shit to me through the whole game about campbell? He was shit here...him leaving meant we kept Waghorn for the season and signed Vaughan.

Nod.E Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Weale Morrison Brown Hobbs Berner N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Gallagher Howard Waghorn > Howard (When Howard gets tired.) Fryatt > Gallagher/N'guessan (Keep on the better performer, stick the one that isn't replaced on the right wing, and put fryatt up top with Waggy.) Vaughan > Dyer (Put him upfront in a 4-3-3, if needed.) Another option is putting N'Guessan up top if other subs are needed as well as a more attacking option. Spearing dropped due to the need for goals.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 If, and it is a big if, if Oakley is match fit it would not suprise me one bit (as this is an NP kind of thing to do) he may be recalled to play the right side of midfield in a 4-4-2 with Wellens/Spearing missing out (coincidentally he did stick Spears out on right wing late 2nd half against Cardiff on Sun). So potentially... Weale Morrison Hobbs Bruce Berner Oakley Wellens/Spears King Gallagher Howard Waghorn Once again, it's not my preffered choice but I'm trying to second guess Nige, it's a big IF but it wouldn't suprise me...
teblin Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 If Vaughan is fit i'd start him up top with howard, he has genuine pace that i think cardiff would struggle with(Vaughan that is not howard). So i'd go Morrison Hobbs Bruce Berner N'guessan Gallagher Wellens Oakley (just have a feeling he's a big game player) Howard Vaughan (if not waggy)
thybluefox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Bit of a shame that Pearson couldn't sort out his differences with dj Campbell! Why the fook is he still at Blackpool! Talk about a stuck bloody record. I'd go 4-4-2, Weale Solano Bruce Hobbs Berner N'Guessan King Wellens Dyer Howard Waghorn I really think we need to proper wingers to help us get forward, while Gally is probably our best technical player, he just doesn't have the gusto going forward that we need.
MC Prussian Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Essentially, you'll need a few experienced players to turn this deficit around, hence the following selection: Weale Berner Brown Hobbs Solano King Wellens Oakley Gallagher Howard Vaughan/Fryatt Subs: Logan, Morrison, Bruce, Dyer, N'Guessan, Kermorgant, Fryatt/Vaughan This should allow for the older/playoff-proven lads to give it their best in the first 60, 70 minutes. In case the energy wears off, bring on the quick feet of the likes of Dyer and/or N'Guessan and Kermorgant on for Howard.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I am more convinced than ever that Oakley will be recalled tonight.
Edmund Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Essentially, you'll need a few experienced players to turn this deficit around, hence the following selection: Weale Berner Brown Hobbs Solano King Wellens Oakley Gallagher Howard Vaughan/Fryatt Subs: Logan, Morrison, Bruce, Dyer, N'Guessan, Kermorgant, Fryatt/Vaughan This should allow for the older/playoff-proven lads to give it their best in the first 60, 70 minutes. Tommy G Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Why the fook is everyone dropping Spearing?? Has been our best player of late. We have to keep Wellens King & Spearing in the team then build the attack around that. My opinion would be not to start with either Dyer or N'Guessan and bring both/one on in the second half, not 85 mins though like on saturday NP!
Fox92 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Weale Solano Bruce Hobbs Berner Spearing Wellens King N'Guessan Howard Waghorn _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Got to go for it obviousley, 4-3-3 like Blackpool yesterday and hopefully Spearing/Wellens will be the holding man. Bit of pace in the side with N'Guessan and Waghorn. Howard in the middle of the three because of his height. When Forest did well at Cardiff, they played all the big men such as Adebola and remember when we played them there, Howard came on (or did he start?) and scored. May scare them abit, ecspecially if Gerrard is still out. Anything on Vaughan, hopefully he may be able to make the bench.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Deary me did you really write Oakley!? I'll refer you to my earlier post Dave... If, and it is a big if, if Oakley is match fit it would not suprise me one bit (as this is an NP kind of thing to do) he may be recalled to play the right side of midfield in a 4-4-2 with Wellens/Spearing missing out (coincidentally he did stick Spears out on right wing late 2nd half against Cardiff on Sun). Babylon Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I thought our set pieces were good on Sunday, so the inclusion of Howard and Morrison would give them a shit load more to think about!!!
davieG Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 11 players who have the belief that they can win this game.
