City Of Cardiff Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Your support was fantastic throughout and you showed great dignity in defeat. I am sure you will be up there next year, if you keep most of your players. ( I thought Dyer was poor over the two games mind you) Best regards

( I thought Dyer was poor over the two games mind you) Best regards Cheers pal. The noise at times was deafening from both sections.
City Of Cardiff Posted 13 May 2010 Author Posted 13 May 2010 yep, enjoyed both games, but I think I said further down, Howard made you look more dangerous and if he had played in the first leg, the outcome may have been different. That said, we could easily lose the final.
Babylon Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I wasn't keen on Cardiff before last night, but the reaction of their manager, a couple of their players and quite a lot of their fans has made me change my mind. We were dignified in defeat, but they were dignified having won when it would be quite easy not to have been.
thybluefox Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 The cardiff team, and 90% of Cardiff fans won with dignity, its a real shame some Cardiff supporters let everyone else down though. Overall, it was a good game, penalties is a lottery, we all know that. Good luck in the final chap!

purpleronnie Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I wasn't there (obviously) but the cardiff fans at times were loud as fook. I could hear the odd leicester song.

Overall, it was a good game, penalties is a lottery, we all know that. Good luck in the final chap! totally disagree, much much less than 90%. Majority of there fans are scumbags, just like Stoke's. The amount of fans that came up to us after the game trying to rub our face in it was unreal. Also, alot of their fans who went on the pitch was more concerned about running to the away fans then to celebrate with their own players.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Our support looked decent last night. Although it must have been hard to get a word in due to Cardiff's fantastic support, best fans in the league IMO. Well done to everyone who made the trip. Lets see some more people singing and standin next season.
Bromsgrove Bluebird Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Just wanted to chip in with my thoughts, lads. Thought your support was excellent, last night. Great celebration for your goals, and good noise. Thought there was a fag paper between us, and at 3-1 down, I turned to my brother and said "that's it". Howard made a huge difference last night, and terrorised our centre halves all night. As for the penalties. we were all saying "just get your head over it, and smack it". Your lad must be gutted at a moment of madness. Last word - went past your coaches through the ridiculous roadworks just before Newport, on the way home. Watched it all when I got back to Bromsgrove, and your manager is different class. What a gracious bloke. Honest. Straight. Credit to your club. Hard luck. There was nought in it. Could very easily have been us feeling bloody awful today. Good luck for next season. Keith
dragon1 Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Your support last night was superb and what a nail biter. Your team will be there next time look at us we were knocking on the door for the past five years and fell away. I think that all the games over the weekend in the playoffs were fantastic. We will all have mourns about doubtful decisions and what could have been but thats football. As far as we are concerned when it came to penalties I thought we had lost but it wasn't to be. All I can say is well done to you and your team and I for one will be looking at you next season.
AndyBrew Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Well its nice to see some constructive positive comments after a certain bluebird who seemed hell bent on causing a fuss, the above comments have restored my faith thank you

Cheers, I always find it interesting to see what the opposition thinks of our support. The 10 minutes following your 2nd goal was the loudest I've heard ever heard a ground I think. Great noise.
Narborough_fox Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 From what I heard it seemed absolutely rocking credit to a lot of your fans and everyone involved with the club, very well done and good luck in the final. By the way Mark Kennedy what a bloke!
Koke Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I wasn't keen on Cardiff before last night, but the reaction of their manager, a couple of their players and quite a lot of their fans has made me change my mind. We were dignified in defeat, but they were dignified having won when it would be quite easy not to have been. Even before the play-offs, I've always preferred them over the Jacks. I like Cardiff and I hope they hammer Blackpool in the final.
ccfc2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I thought your fans were brilliant all night, the team did you very proud and the game could have gone either way. Wish you every bit of luck next season, if we beat Blackpool I will be hoping you go up next year
Maybes Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I do the love he slowed down version of 'Oh when the blues' was brilliant to get that aired a few times. Was a brilliant atmosphere all round.
Anish Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 The atmosphere was incredible. Both sets of fans were in tremendous voice and the stewarding and policing was excellent - they let us stand all game without making a fuss. I don't think I've been to a game quite like that - our support was almost non-stop and the boys on the pitch did us proud. The Cardiff fans were excellent, especially after they went ahead and then made it 3-2. Definitely the best home supporters I've witnessed. That kind of atmosphere is what football matches should be like in every game.
Guest Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I was immensely proud of our fans last night. I'd completely lost my voice by the end. Also loved it when Big Steve revved the crowd up when we had that corner, hero.

Agreed, aside from 7 trips to Wembley I was trying to recall a better atmosphere in 30 years of following City away from home and couldn't.
Sods Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 I wasn't there (obviously) but the cardiff fans at times were loud as fook. I could hear the odd leicester song. Well you clearly a) don't know any of the Leicester songs. b) have a loss of hearing or c) just talking bullshit. Yes the Cardiff fans were loud at times, Ive watched the highlights and you can hear the Leicester fans all game, especially after we scored our first right until Whittinghams penalty which sparked them into life.
Tommeh Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 My goal celebrations: 1) Elbow Maybes in the mouth, made him bleed. Plenty more mayhem. 2) Pile on in the aisle. 3) No idea, chaos but I lost a shoe for a short spell and retrived it a few rows down in the aisle. Our end was brilliant, slightly nervous first 20 but spot on after. 2,600 of the best were there last night. Also worth noting that upwards of 10,000 in the ground stood. Played a huge part in an incredible atmsophere in my opinion.
danielpholt Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 My brother caught some random woman on the back of the head, i don't think she was too impressed, but o well. Agreed though, our fans were fan bloody tastic last night, a little corner of england.
Tilley Posted 13 May 2010 Posted 13 May 2010 Sky panned the Leicester end after King's strike, looked pretty special.
