Sparky Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Sky sports news say they are speaking to Steve Cotterill
Number 6 Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Haha are they serious? Edit: Cotterill makes more sense.
MC Prussian Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 ... or it's Steve Pearson or Nigel Cotterill they're after...
Guest Mee-9 Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 This has got to be the funniest rumour I've heard for a long time.
davieG Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 The source URL suggests it might have come from the Football Rumours site so probably originates from a Cov fan on a wind up. Babylon has already proved how easy it is to set up a nonsensical rumour.
samjohnson Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Ive heard this rumour has made the national press... which doesnt suprise me at all... They scan football rumour sites for bullshit like this Still... Coventry... Pearson... :crylaugh:
Bryn Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Nonsense story. Still though, sure wish we'd get that contract tied up!
jamie20lcfc Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 pearson to cov scum LMAO that made me chuckle, asif hed take a step backwards to join them. NIGEL PEARSONS BLUE AND WHITE ARMY!!!!!!!!!!!
eaststandtom Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 genuinely concerned about this! milan is clearly holding out to get pearson to sign on the cheap and is playing a dangerous game. i am sure coventry would be able to match his current deal at city and regarding transfer funds it is not as if we are splashing the cash on new players. pearson may well be able to get a similar budget to deal with and all of sudden the idea of managing cov isnt so ridiculous. they have the stadium and same set up as city a good manager would get 20,000 plus through the door each week at games. there is no less reason why cov couldnt get into the prem with the right management. pearson could do it which is why they allegedly want him.unpopular view maybe but mandaric isnt doing enough to show he wants him which is criminal all things considered.
Guest Bilo Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Pearson to Coventry? Don't make me laugh. Their transfer budget is even tighter than ours, they haven't the money to match us in wages, their board has hilariously unrealistic expectations of their squad and managers, their playing staff is typical mid-table fayre and their crowds are absolutely diabolical. No manager currently in the Championship with any ambition would touch the job with a bargepole.
Matt Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 They are deluded. I've nearly just been sick i've laughed so much, seriously.
gazmanthegun Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 i would kiss a forest badge (which is paramount to killing my own mother) if that move happened
okie fox Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Sky sports news say they are speaking to Steve Cotterill Cotterill is out of contract in a month so there would be no payment involved.
