Not bad at 40m euros either. Obviously it's a lot, but maybe Valencia could have held out for more. Anyway, I wonder if Ibra's Barcelona career may be over. He's not had the best of times there and some have questioned his attitude/mentality when Barcelona play. Messi, Villa and Bojan

He's not had the best of times there and some have questioned his attitude/mentality when Barcelona play. Messi, Villa and Bojan Graham Hunter from SSN mooted the idea of Ibra going to Man City because of his relationship with Mancini (and because they are one of the fews clubs who can afford him)
Sparky Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Another quality title race in store next season, Barca with the additions of Villa and maybe Cesc Fabregas against a quality Madrid side who will be very close if Mourinho takes the reigns
Edmund Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Not bad at 40m euros either. Obviously it's a lot, but maybe Valencia could have held out for more. Don't forget he's already 28 Still a great signing for them, class player.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Seems to me a clear realisation that they got the Eto'o/Ibra swap deal wrong.
Koke Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 What a total waste of money Ibrahimovic was. 60 million plus Samuel Eto. The more I think about the more bizarre it looks. Whoever was behind that genius idea should be shot. Seriously.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Great signing for Barca, now they can offload Ibrahimovic. Nowhere near as effective as Eto'o. Still prefer Real in the grand scheme of things though. Loved it when they had Zidane, Figo, Beckham, Carlos, Raul, Ronaldo et al.
maddog Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 Madrid will win the title i think with Jose in charge. He will make the crucial difference when the sides meet each other in the League. Barca took 6 points off Real this season, a home win for Real in their League game V Barca with a Nou Camp defeat and they would have won the title. Mourinho won't let that happen, he will be the difference in those 2 big games, Real will win at home at least and win the title next season, which they would have done this season had they claimed victory at the Bernabeu.
StanSP Posted 19 May 2010 Author Posted 19 May 2010 The season isn't just based on 2 games though. If Jose is there, it may be tighter than a straight man's ass on a gay parade. Doesn't mean it guarantees Jose/Madrid to win the title next season.
eleven points Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 The season isn't just based on 2 games though. It is in Spain.
Ozwin Posted 19 May 2010 Posted 19 May 2010 What a total waste of money Ibrahimovic was. 60 million plus Samuel Eto. The more I think about the more bizarre it looks. Whoever was behind that genius idea should be shot. Seriously. It was 40M + Eto'o Not that it makes it any better.
