shen Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 How stupidly unlucky. Dutch don't deserve it one bit. <_<
shen Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Could easily see the Danes nicking this. Though Bendnter really isnt as good as he says he is, he is shite! He's been out injured for a month and hasn't played or participated in training at all since his injury at Arsenal. A yellow to Kjær for that?! Severe ref this...
MC Prussian Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Kuyt's goal seals it. 2-0. A bit of a shame, really. Thought the Danish stood particularely well in defense up until they conceded/scored that silly own goal. The individual class of the Dutch squad as the ultimate decider.
Jonezy Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Wet Danish Dynamite that.... Frickin toothless we are. No a single decent chance all 2nd half. Ridiculous own goal after completely taming the Dutch machine, but a whole half after that, and we create nothing. The ref was shambolic too, 2 times the Dutch are trying to do a 'Taylor on Eduardo' kind of tackle and no cards, Persie with a yellow plays on long after the whistle and escapes the 2nd yellow and then Kjær gets a yellow for being pulled by the shirt and winning the ball. Still I want a new coach soon please, football gods.... Elia looks a player. HSV, hang on to him! And Holland, step it up now, will you, because you guys are my 2nd team now. Heads up!

Olsen is the best coach we have and he's just got us qualified from a very tough group with a depleted squad. It's not his fault we don't have any decent strikers apart from Bendtner. Want to go back to the days of headless chickens running around i.e. under Møller and Bosse? Laudrup will take over when he wants to, and until then I'd like Olsen to stay, thank you very much

I'm just getting fed up with this 4-5-1 passing style, creating absolutely nothing, and it was karma to concede that own goal, because we had some serious luck in the qualification.

Been there, done that, didn't work. They only reason Piontek and Johansson got as far as they did (KO stages 86 and quarters 98) is because of the exceptional squads we had then. Both Laudrups and Schmeichel is something that could've won us a medal with a bit of luck. However both those coaches were tactically inept as proven in the tie with Spain in 86 and the terrible showing in Euro 2000. Yes, we've been lucky in the quals, but remember it was with an already quality-lacking injury-depleted squad. The Danish people just have to accept that the quality at our disposal isn't any better. Olsen is our main man and asset, and people will realize this once he's gone.

Lets agree to disagree on this one Shen, and then you can taunt me, if we get a new coach in the near future and we become even more rubbish.

You'll have to wait at least a couple of years then DBU will not fire him even if he loses the next two games and fails to qualify for the Euro's.
