davieG Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 The Play-Off Finals were concluded little over a fortnight ago and Thursday sees the announcement of the fixture list at 9am on Thursday 17th June but before then we also have the Round 1 draw of the Carling Cup to look forward to. Fosse Boy Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Wish we were in the south group. The potential for decent away nights is far better in there. Fancy Lincoln, Bradford, Macclesfield or Crewe away from that lot. Would've said Chesterfield too if they hadn't opted to move into their new boring Ikea flatpack ground.
Fox You Forest Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Wouldn't mind Crewe again, I'd take any of them away rather than a home game.
Joel G Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Interesting how Forest are in the north section but Notts County are in the south section. I was hoping for Notts County away...
Fosse Boy Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Interesting how Forest are in the north section but Notts County are in the south section. I was hoping for Notts County away... Yeah, it's a daft anomoly isn't it! I think they should use the method thought up by Cardiff_Fox in this thread.
Bugg Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Interesting how Forest are in the north section but Notts County are in the south section. I was hoping for Notts County away... That is ridiculous, the stadiums are bloody next to eachother.
1964FOX Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Rochdale away for me so we can wind their fans up about taking Kennedy off them Rochdale away for me so we can wind their fans up about taking Kennedy off them
Guest Bilo Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 With the bizarre decision to place Notts County in the Southern section, the best we can hope for is probably a trip to Lincoln, Chesterfield or a top day out in Sheffield at the Don Valley. Which means we'll almost certainly get Morecambe at home.
irDeano Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Oldham would be alright, would be ironic one of the first teams Dickov takes on as manager would be us! Rotherham wouldn't be bad, Bradford and Lincoln are alright as well but overall the South section is by far the better one Would've loved County away, ridiculous how they and Port Vale are classed as south when they are more northern than we are! It's about as ridiculous as Gloucester City playing in Conference North...
Corky Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 It's going to be a home draw. Would rather be in the southern section.
Jimothy Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 That is ridiculous, the stadiums are bloody next to eachother. Isn't County's ground further north than Forest's as well?
Fosse Boy Posted 14 June 2010 Posted 14 June 2010 Isn't County's ground further north than Forest's as well? Yep, it's on the Nottingham side of the Trent as opposed to the West Bridgford side.
SamL Posted 16 June 2010 Posted 16 June 2010 Macclesfield at home. My linkhttp://www.football-league.co.uk/carlingcup/news/20100616/carling-cup-round-1-draw_2245684_2071780
