LCFC-ARAB Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 The groups pretty much set isnt it? unless Portugal lose 4 nil and Ivory Coast win 5 nil or something like that Brazil v Portugal is gunna be boring EDIT: maybe not actually spain might not even finish top of their group so they both will wanna come second so i rekon 5-4 Brazil all own goals
Guest Bilo Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Don't let Portugal's fisting of North Korea fool you, the Koreans simply imploded in the second half and most teams in this World Cup would have battered them as a result. They were always going to suffer a pasting and it could just as easily have been dealt out by Brazil if things had been different. I expect Brazil to bring Portugal down to earth with a bump tonight, though Portugal could well end up getting the softer of the Last 16 ties if Spain finish runners-up in their group. Ivory Coast are going home unless they can repeat Portugal's result against North Korea, which while possible is probably unlikely. Bare in mind however that not only are Spain far from certain to win their group, they could even be set for a humiliating return to Madrid a la France and Italy if results don't go their way. Failure to beat the dangerous Chileans tonight coupled with a Swiss win over Honduras would send Chile and Switzerland through to Round 2. Only a win can give Spain a shot at top sport in the group, and they won't get that if Switzerland better their result against Honduras. Group H is very interesting indeed. Brazil 2 Portugal 1 Ivory Coast 3 North Korea 0 Chile 1 Spain 1 Switzerland 2 Honduras 1
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Going to Brazil V Portugal spewing it's virtually a dead rubber
MC Prussian Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 How on earth did Juan not see Red for his handballing? He was clearly last man in line. And Duda getting booked for dissent immediately afterwards. Two joke decisions.

Two joke decisions. Duda getting booked for running a good 10 yards after the referee waving his imaginery card is not a joke. He should not be doing it full stop.
frenzal Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Mick Mccarthy is growing on me. "By the way, he's nailed him." Getting feisty this game.
davieG Posted 25 June 2010 Author Posted 25 June 2010 Have i been watching too much football is this Brazil / Portugal game boring with just a procession of niggly fouls - so much for entertaining football from the top sides.
