Matt Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Paulo Sousa - 4/6 Brendan Rodgers - 5/1 Tony Mowbray - 10/1 Iain Dowie - 12/1 Gareth Southgate - 12/1 Phil Brown - 12/1 Sean O'Driscoll - 12/1 Chris Coleman - 12/1 Micky Adams - 14/1 Paul Jewell - 16/1 Gary Megson - 16/1 Alan Curbishley - 16/1 Nigel Worthington - 161 Nigel Adkins - 20/1 Steve Clarke - 20/1 Jim Magilton - 22/1 Gary McAllister - 25/1 Martin Keown - 28/1 David O'Leary - 28/1 Mike Newell - 28/1 Simon Grayson - 33/1 Garry Parker - 33/1 Dion Dublin - 33/1 Steve Howard - 40/1 Gary Lineker - 50/1 http://www.skybet.com/betting/football/manager-specials/t10002896.html
Salieri Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 At least Dowies slipped down a few places. My thoughts exactly. Just want to see Rodgers name slip further down that list now...
CKB Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Paulo Sousa - 4/6 Tony Mowbray - 10/1 Sean O'Driscoll - 12/1 Nigel Adkins - 20/1 Any of them 4 i'd be very happy with! as for the rest of the list? bah fook off.. Compo would have to be paid out tho for 3 and big compo for O'Driscoll i heard 1 million so unlikely it would be him.. Mowbray still is going through his Celtic pay off issue so that might put a stop to him.. So really maybe a chance with 2 (Sousa, Adkins) but how much compo?

Compensation may not be too much of an issue if Mandaric has found some sort of investment from somewhere....we'll see though I guess.
CKB Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Compensation may not be too much of an issue if Mandaric has found some sort of investment from somewhere....we'll see though I guess. Investment would have to come in pretty quick! as Milan surely wants someone in a.s.a.p due to pre-season starting very soon, saying that with Milan who knows what that mad serb thinks! Oh and i forgot to add Curbs to that list but lets face it he will probs end up at Fulham now, so really that is a total no-goer anyway
Manwivaplan Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Paulo Sousa - 4/6 Paul Lambert-Evens Brendan Rodgers - 5/1 Tony Mowbray - 10/1 Iain Dowie - 12/1 Gareth Southgate - 12/1 Phil Brown - 12/1 Sean O'Driscoll - 12/1 Chris Coleman - 12/1 Micky Adams - 14/1 Paul Jewell - 16/1 Gary Megson - 16/1 Alan Curbishley - 16/1 Nigel Worthington - 161 Nigel Adkins - 20/1 Steve Clarke - 20/1 Jim Magilton - 22/1 Gary McAllister - 25/1 Martin Keown - 28/1 David O'Leary - 28/1 Mike Newell - 28/1 Simon Grayson - 33/1 Garry Parker - 33/1 Dion Dublin - 33/1 Steve Howard - 40/1 Gary Lineker - 50/1 http://www.skybet.com/betting/football/manager-specials/t10002896.html
Brainy Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 is it possible we could make this thread into one where links/articles on who our next manager may be can be posted? it's abit of a nightmare going through all the other ones trying to find some info.
Salieri Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Lineker?? Just because he's ex Leicester. There's about 8 ex City players on there and no surprise that they're all the longest odds.

That's what I was thinking as I posted this more about Sousa being odds on I nearly posted it in the Sousa - No intrest for Leicester thread but then I thought well it's odds of all managers and it'll start of discussion of all the managers in the list in a Sousa thread so decided to make a seperate thread, but all the new threads appearing start of about the manager in subject but then tail of discussing all managers, e.t.c
Edmund Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Sousa now odds on?! They know something we don't... Not necessarily. Bookies odds reflect the betting trend. All it means is most people are backing Sousa so odds will be slashed to reduce liability. Even the owner of Mark Jarvis said in an interview there is no reason to believe that Sousa is going to the Walkers. It's only because he was seen at the Walkers as a guest of Mandarics during the play offs so people are having a frenzy.

Fosse Boy Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Wonder what odds I'd get on Chris Powell (Manager), Garry Parker (Assistant) and Steve Guppy (First Team Coach). I've decided that's my Dream Team.
CKB Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 What about Matt Elliottttttttttttttttttt as boss and E.T as his number 2???
howsyourfather Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 A friend who works for the mercury reckons all the blokes who work in the sport section have said it will be sousa. He broke the wayne brown lloyd dyer news to me before it hit the press and a few other bits and bobs so i'm thinking it might be the case
Guest Mee-9 Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Maybe the blokes at sky know something too Moving the Swansea vs Leicester match, and putting it on tv Curb's has gone down from 20's to 16s, which is good Brendan Rodgers is almost as bad as Dowie.
vegas Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Just because he's ex Leicester. There's about 8 ex City players on there and no surprise that they're all the longest odds. I don't see Roberto Mancini in there...
Matt Posted 30 June 2010 Author Posted 30 June 2010 Wow. Paulo Sousa - 4/11 Skybet have to know something surely?! They wouldn't be 4/11 just because many people had bet on it, tbh I can't really imagine it'd be a huge betting market.

Yea they must know something, can't imagine the betting market would span any wider than Leicester fans chucking the odd quid or two just for fun. I'd be satisfied with Sousa, although having said that I'd be pretty satisfied with anyone really .
Legend_in_blue Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 Under Sousa, sexy football, championship style.
Ozwin Posted 30 June 2010 Posted 30 June 2010 We're a small step up from Swansea, we've got the defence they have plus a nifty midfield. I think he'll have the goalscoring problem again though unless he gets some decent strikers in (hopefully Waghorn)

I think DJ and Fryatt would do well. DJ should be given a fair chance upfront with Fryatt. I think we can kiss goodbye to Waghorn and Vaughan now Wouldn't be surprised if we see Waghorn in the Orange next year
