You know how we add a "Transfer Talk" forum when the window opens? We should also open a "New Manager Speculation" forum every few months, too.

They take a lot of markets down, no staff in overnight and cant control their liabillities could come in next morning to find their pants round their ankles and suffering a severe spanking :-)

Exactly, that's what I meant.

Sousa it is then!! No way the odds would disappear otherwise, surely.

I'm happy with this move, let's hope Sousa and the lads can carry on the recent success

He`s good, but he aint no Lambert!

 We get the message mate and despite your protestations, Lambert is not going to become the next Leicester manager.

Is it still going to be Sousa? I can't find any odds on who's going to be our next manager anywhere.

That's because betting's been suspended - again. Sousa went out to 4/11 then 4/9 from 1/4 this morning.

Someone posted this on http://scfc.co.uk/lazarus/ this afternoon.

Sousa 3/1

Mowbray 7/2

Sousa's drifting rapidly, looks like a flurry of bets (or a couple of serious ones) on Mowbray... Victor Chandler wouldn't divulge who was favourite when they shut it down but the momentum seemed to be with Mowbray.

Probably end up being neither...

Hmmm, interesting, so not such a sure thing after all. At least it's Mowbray who's odds have shortened and not you know who.

I'm sure the odds on there are identical to what they were very soon after the market was opened. :dunno:

Not sure if he's found outdated odds but I can think of nothing that weakens the speculation, the words of both Leicester and Swansea's chairmen as well as Sousa's no show at training yesterday would add to it if anything.

You could be right...

Sousa had drifted quite quickly from 1/4 to 4/9 this morning though.

Perhaps people lumped on again at a better price? Doubt it somehow though - doesn't follow the sheep mentality ( LEAVE IT!) of these rumour-driven markets.

I suspect it will open again in the morning and we can check the history on oddschecker.

I do know that the main money man at Swansea and the guy who pulls the strings is a big mate of Sousa and very keen to keep him.

It ain't over yet gents...

It's certainly been suspended on Oddschecker for most of the day today and Mandaric's statement to the press was laced with innuendo on the subject but you're quite right to say it ain't over till it's over.

3 Year Deal

After a stalemate in the business, the career of the Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa in England will continue at Leicester City.

Ending a season in Swansea, where he earned a respectable rating (7. Place of the second division), the former Portuguese international, 39, flies to five. The of last season ranked in the same step, signing for three years. Although not the main favorites, promotion is the big goal.

To anyone questioning his experiences, Sousa had 5 and a half years as Luis Felipe Scolari's assistant when in charge off Portugal

Shouldn't this be in the Mayoral topic?

internet betting is desgined to only be took down for changes etc board prices, weights and time trials. they wont have to take them down at night because the liabilities are already in place. if you dont believe me try and put a £250 on man city to win next years premier league on coral. it will take longer than usual or not be allowed.

He had five years as Portugal's under-15 coach (which might explain why he's keen on giving youth a chance), and stepped up to assistant under Carlos Queiroz after Scolari left for Chelsea, which means he had little over four months as Portugal's assistant manager.
