Red Bell driver Fi R took pole at the Hungaroring after her win in Germany took her team Red Bell further ahead of Reno and Team Wales in the 2010 Constructors Championship. Ridgwell took pole 0.019 ahead of McLewis driver Daniel Cox who was a mere 1 thousandth of a second ahead of Team Wales driver Martin Southam. Pole position time that was posted by Fi R was a time of 1:18.596.

Reno driver Matt Gray was 1.261 seconds off the pace set by the Red Bells, however he was 1 place above championship leader and Rdigwell's team mate Ashley Jupp who once again produced a poor qualifying display. Gray's Reno team-mate Chris Louth was only one place above his team-mate in 8th place, Louth will be looking to improve his position during the race to close down Ashley Jupp's lead in the Drivers Championship.

Cracking under the pressure again?

At least I was kind enough to take Louth out for him. :D I'm so self-sacrificing. :P

JUPP: "FI IS THE DIFFERENCE"

Red Bell driver Ashley Jupp has heaped praise onto his team-mate Fi R. Jupp explained that he felt the difference between him and his other title contenders this year is the 'faultless, positive contribution' the current world champion adds to the team on a daily basis.

Jupp, who has partnered her several times before in the sport, also agrees that she has the potential to go on and be the best ever. "Fi's unbelievable at this game. I'll be lucky if I ever notch up a championship, but Fi can go all the way and take as many titles as is necessary to go down as the best ever."

Speaking about his own championship possibilities this season, the 18 year old reflected on previous seasons and admitted "you can never be sure with me. I could be going into the last race with a 24 point lead and still come away empty handed at the end. Reliability and consistency have never been my strong point - I've just got to hope I can manage to get enough points over the course of the next three races."

Following tonight's Japanese GP, the Red Bell team have stretched their lead at the top of the constructors' championship to 106 points, with a maximum of 129 left to play for.

title's yours dude, hard enough battling against the fastest car when your teammate isnt doing laps anyway, + being screwed over by the game most races.

lol

I can remember you saying that two races from the end in the Force Shenussulouth days, and we all know what happened.

This is me, Chris, I always find a way to spunk it up.

Gray out qualifies Louth

Reno number 2 driver out qualified his Reno team-mate Chris Louth for the first time after gaining his best qualifying result of the season, after a solid first 2 parts of qualifying Gray produced a fantastic last flying lap to out qualify his team-mate 0.139 seconds and finish qualifying in 5th place on the grid alongside his team-mate Louth on the 3rd row. Qualifying was once again dominated by Red Bell as they look to wrap up the constructers title in Korea, Championship leader Ashley Jupp took his second pole in as many races as his Team-mate and Japan winner Fi R made it another front row lock-out for Red Bell.

After his qualifying session Gray had this too say;

"It's nothing to be proud of over the season I have let my Reno team down and I have let Chris down as he looked for the championship, the team have been great to me and I thank them for letting me have a chance to get into the racing business however after a tough year I am looking at other options. I would love another year at Reno but I don't think Reno would like another year of me. I am pleased with my first year in racing but I have to look to progress over the coming years and if I lose a tutor like Chris I think my chances may be limited."

Oh, and guys, might be time to start thinking about what carset you'd prefer for Season 19? And would you prefer free choice for seats or some kind of draw?

lol Pity the poor person that gets lumbered with me. :P

Well done Fi! :D

Massive result for Red Bell that.

And for me personally, a crucial podium with two races to go.

10 points from the final two races needed then

Thanks. ^_^

Would dearly love to sneak in front of Matt to make it a Red Bull 1-2. Big ask though. :dunno:
