Gray back with a bang!

Reno driver Matt Gray returned from his 10 day break determined to make an impact in his returning race, he certainly started off well with a fantastic drive to finish 3rd in qualifying for the European FoxesTalk Championship Grand Prix at the Valencia street circuit in Spain. His lap of 1:35.774 was 0.219 seconds behind Team Wales driver Martin Southam who's lap of 1:35.555 took pole position 0.135 seconds ahead of Gray's team mate Chris Louth who is currently 2nd place in the championship.

With the top 10 pushing hard for pole position current leader Ashley Jupp crashed out leaving him 10th place, however cause for concern rippled around spectators as he was taken to hospital after being helped out of his car and put on to a stretcher. Red Bell had no more information after the race leaving many hopping Jupp will be racing tomorrow to continue his push for the 2010 Championship.

RED BELL DRIVER AIMING FOR DAMAGE LIMITATION

Red Bell driver and championship leader Ashley Jupp has admitted it may be a case of 'damage limitation' at tonight's European GP in Valencia. Jupp, who will start 10th on the grid, crashed out in the third session of qualifying. Although a precautionary visit to hospital followed, Jupp was passed fit to race.

Following earlier concerns surrounding Jupp and whether or not he would even race, the Red Bell team released a statement a short while ago:

In response to concerns regarding driver Ashley Jupp following his crash in the third qualifying session yesterday, we can confirm he has been passed fit to race in tonight's European GP in Valencia. The subsequent hospital visit was precautionary, and we are sure he is both mentally and physically ready for the demanding challenge ahead.

Jupp, speaking to us earlier about his chances in the race, spoke of his frustration at being so far down the grid. "No doubt, it's going to be tough tonight." he told us. "I'm starting 10th, which is the worst position to be. I'd rather be 11th, cause at least then I'd be able to change strategy."

Earlier today Jupp's unsympathetic team-mate, Ridgwell, snapped, "He'd better get his sorry little arse out of that hospital, get back to the circuit and stop being such a drama queen. He's got a job to do and he needs to focus on that rather than courting all this attention."

Hammond sues the FIA

Disgruntled Mernandez driver Hammond claims there is a conspiracy to by all means necessary, prevent him from finishing. Hammond has retired a total of 6 times this season and has only managed to finish in 3 races. "There is definitely something fishy going on, one driver has totalled me twice now", Hammond also urges "drivers to check their Main Rival setting". Allegations of corruption have been accused at the FIA on whom Hammond claim's have lost the team money and points. The former Bat 7 champion also said "I can hope for the best in the upcoming races but aiming for 12th place is optimistic".

Mernandez team-mate Matijas was unable to comment.

JUPP ALARMED AT DANGEROUS DRIVING

Despite finishing in a very impressive 2nd position in tonight's European GP, Jupp was quick to highlight his thoughts on the manoeuvre made my Mernandez driver Laurence Hammond in the early stages of the race.

"It was ridiculous - it shows perfectly why he's barely finished a race. I'm upset because I felt he tried to take me out!"

As a result of Hammond's recklessness, the Mernandez driver retired from the race - while Jupp seemed to escape unscathed. "I was lucky!" Jupp went on. "If he'd have hit me any harder that could have been it. I would have been seething. I tried to pass him, and was pretty much through - but he gave me no room. Definitely his fault, and I hope he has the balls to issue an apology."

Jupp produces drive of his life

Many thought that championship leader Ashley Jupp had blown his chance at Valencia after he was taken to hospital after a horrific crash in Valencia qualifying but he proved critics and fans wrong by producing the drive of his life climbing from 10th to 2nd. In qualifying Jupp miscalculated turn 3 after running wide on tun 2 and he went crashing in to the concrete wall and bouncing on to the opposite wall. he was taken away but later Red Bell said it was only a precaution.

At the race Mclewis diver Daniel Cox took the 25 points and the checkered flag, behind him in 2nd was Red bell driver Ashley Jupp. Rounding was Team Wales Driver Matt McCaughan, closely followed in fourth by Fierce Indians driver Anthony Bates and in 5th was Reno driver Chris Louth. Louth's team mate comeback kid Matt Gray rounded off his weekend with a solid 7th placed finish. Reno said they were pleased with Gray's attitude after his break and were glad to welcome him back.

Next up is many people's home race in Silverstone, Northamptonshire.

DRIVER CAUSES OUTRAGE

Mernandez driver Matijas has hit out at bosses FIA for supposed 'favouring'.

After partner Hammond had been forced into retirement a total of 6 times this season, he feels that Max Mosley should be 'hung, drawn and quartered' as he can smell something fishy.

After a recent injury which cannot be revealed due to a gagging order, forced Matijas into retirement, he blasted the sport saying: 'It's full of twats who run it, must be run by Thai's with some betting scams going on. Dirty lot have sabotaged us this season and it has forced me to quit. I'm not a quitter but this really is taking the piss.'

He also apologises to partner Hammond claiming that 'he should not have started to begin with'

He backs a Red Bellend to win the title as they 'have the FIA'.

Gray backs Louth to win

Reno driver Matt Gray has back his fellow Reno driver Chris Louth to win the FoxesTalk 2010 Championship. "I really hope he can do it, he deserves much better than second or even third. His clean tactics are the best in the championship. Ashley (Jupp) doesn't deserve it, I agree with Mernandez they are backed by the FIA. I think we should all do something about it!"

It is believed Louth will be buoyed by Gray's word.

DRIVER LAUGHS OFF ALLEGATIONS

Red Bell's Ashley Jupp has responded to allegations that his team are 'backed by the FIA'. Mernandez driver Jovan Matijas and Reno's Matt Gray have both complained that they believe the FIA are favouritising the Red Bell team - although no valid corroboration for this complaint has been given by either driver.

"It's really funny to be honest." Jupp chuckled at our interview earlier. "Firstly you've got Jovan - who is easily the best driver not to have won a championship - who has for whatever reason been shambolic this season, and this is his defense mechanism I guess. When I lose, I get suicidal and what have you. Clearly Jovan deals with disappointment with anger and false accusations. Then there's Mr Gray at Reno. What he's got to complain about I haven't got a clue. Obviously this is his feeble attempt at mind games with his team-mate being in the title race."

Matijas had also pointed out the extortionate number of retirements his team-mate Laurence Hammond had suffered this season, again arguing the FIA may be to blame. Jupp responded to this with "Hahaa. To be honest, that's close to being the most pathetic thing I've ever heard. If Lozza (Hammond) wants to finish more races, he should consider lowering his aggression settings."

Tonight Jupp takes to the track for qualifying at his home GP in Silverstone and will be aiming for pole position in front of his home fans.

Last report for a couple of days.

Gray Charged by Reno

Number 2 Reno driver Matt Gray has been charged for conspiracy theory against the FIA and accusing fellow drivers of cheating with the help of the FIA. His team have fined him £1,000,000. Team bosses were not willing to comment on the situation about Gray however they did say that they were very disappointed with Gray and that this could cause major disruption in Reno and the Drivers of the FoxesTalk Championship, it is thought that Gray may not race next season for the Reno team who last season were also dubbed in controversy after theories of race fixing and Nelson Piquet Jr. who crashed out to let "Golden boy" Fernando Alonso win at the inaugural night Singapore Grand Prix.

Gray was open to talk about it and said he regretted his decision to speak out and thinks that it could be a major mistake in his first season;

"What i said about Chris Louth I still stand by I will be backing him all the way and I hope I can help him win and the team win the Constructors title. I however do regret what I said about the FIA and I apologise to both Ashley and the FIA. Ashley is a very nice person and a great person to speak to in garage, he helped me tremendously in my first season. He also deserves all he gets this season, he the most professional and to witness his encounter the Mernandez was terrifying, I was terrified for him. I apologise to all I have upset at Reno with my idiotic words, I hope I can prove everyone wrong and produce a good display at Silverstone. Once more I am sincerely sorry to Ashley."

It is now uncertain what further charges may pressed against Gray and Reno however him driving for Reno now looks highly unlikely unless he produces great end of season form.

ASHA DELIGHTED WITH HOME WIN

Red Bell driver Ashley Jupp has spoken for the first time following his victory at the British GP - his 19th victory in Formula Foxestalk. Jupp won the race from team-mate Fi Ridgwell, with championship rival Chris Louth in third.

"It was so fantastic to win at home - the second time too. My first ever win was at Silverstone, so to do it again is fantastic." The victory means Jupp's championship lead extended to 25 points ahead of the German GP. "It's a healthy lead - but one retirement and it is back to zero. Chris, Matt and now Dan are competing for the title, all incredibly talented drivers, and won't allow me to relax for one second. The team and myself have to be really be on the ball if we're going to stay in this position."

Moving on to the next race, which takes place tonight at Hockenheim, Jupp pointed out that there's no time to stop and enjoy a result. "Yeah, there's never an opportunity to sit down and enjoy a result - because you're straight back into testing for the next race. Only at the end of the season can you look back and hopefully reflect on a positive season."

Well done Fi on the Germany win.

Hoping for better qualifying myself though, too many 8th and 9th places for my liking.
