Player sponsorship

People pay to have their names read out at half time or have a brick on the wall or other things that gives them a memory of being part of LCFC and in relative terms this is no different.

If you have the money why not

Already got the brick

Maybe I should hold off that bookmakers idea for the time being...

Mind you, I find it hard to believe that all the players would cost the same to sponsor.

I'd feel a bit pissed off if I'd forked out £1250 to sponsor, I dunno... Luke O'Neill, only to find that the guy who got Fryatt paid the same amount! (no disrespect to Luke O'Neill, you know what I mean...)

The sponsorship package also includes a VIP hospitality day for four guests in the Gary Lineker Suite (Sponsors Lounge).

Prices:

£1,250 + VAT, this equates to just £54 + VAT per fixture

£1,500 + VAT with 4 places at the player of the year awards

£1,750 + VAT, with 10 places at the player of the year awards

Those prices aren't toooooooo bad actually considering what you get.. if you get get your other guests to dip into their pockets for the match you go to (am guessing you don't get to chose your fixture though?)

Bruno Berner is sponsored by:

Again, apt for such a precious player...

I'm finding these quite amusing, but someone please stop me if they're not!

Fairplay to the lad. I doubt sponsoring a player as a business actually helps generate much business.

"I need some precious metal refined, do you know of anyone?"

"Yeah those guys who sponsor Berner refine precious metal."

Ah - but then you'd have to question whether adverising as a whole works

I'd much sooner the players be sponsored by a fan or groups of fans actually

It's probably quite a cheap way to get your name out to however many people every other Saturday. It's no different to whacking your company name on a billboard. At the end of the day it's just gunning for exposure.

could you sponsor me?? (less than half the price )

il put your name on my shirt and with teh money you pay me il buy a season ticket so everyone will see your name each game.

Rightly or wrongly im now the official sponsor of DJ Campbell for this season 2010/11

I now just got to hope he stays around otherwise I will look pretty silly

40/1 to be League's leading scorer looks good value based on end of last season (Blackpool) and pre-season dont you think?

This is brilliant, I totally get it! I'm very jealous. The day when you get to go in and meet him will be awesome! All the other players will have directors and CEOs hanging around them... and DJ :crylaugh:

I get what you're saying, but I'd bet my house on the fact that a billboard is much more effective than a little box in a programme next to a players picture.

Advertising obviously works but I really don't think that sponsoring a player represents value for money. You'd be better of putting that money towards a bigger ad in the yellow pages.

No doubt it is, but you pay through your arse for a billboard. £1250 is quite cheap comparatively, but obviously I've no idea what the return on investment is when compared to the same thing on a billboard. I'd like to think the companies have done some kind of analysis, but I know if I had had the chance to sponsor a player with my companies funds I'd probably go right ahead and do it without a care in the world :D

Alternatively we could all chip in a fiver towards the sites running costs.

Ok so it proved a costly mistake..............................should have trusted my gut feeling

Although.........I am now the MARTYN WAGHORN official sponsor :trumpet::trumpet::trumpet::scarf::trumpet::trumpet::trumpet:

Surely that is the best piece of business in the deadline window :giggle:
