The fine investment of a motor has just lost its gearbox on the a42 and i am really struggling to get to Saturdays game at the Walkers. Is anyone going to the Boro match from somewhere near Ashby/Measham/Coalville areas, i would love to hitch a ride with you...would be happy to chip in some petrol moneys. Can anyone please help? Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please,

Shrenchel Posted 12 August 2010 Posted 12 August 2010 There's a normal bus that goes from Coalville to Leicester. Takes less than an hour, number 20 something, I checked when I almost had to move to the shithole. Fvck knows about the other two places but I'd imagine it's the same.
ozleicester Posted 12 August 2010 Author Posted 12 August 2010 cheers, seem to have found a bus that will do it... bout 1.5 hours but whatever .. only prob is getting home, can anyone tell me how far it is from the ground to the bus station at St Margarets/gravel st?... ill need to be there by 5.30... is it possible?

It'll be close, you'll have to proper chip it down Aylestone Road, through town and right down the other end down Church Gate. There's a bus service that runs from near the ground to the city centre which would make it do-able but I don't know how packed that is or slowed down by traffic on match days.

If you're getting the one from Coalville (29a I think) it comes at half past the hour and takes about an hour to get there.
MPH Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 I THINK the 29a to coalville goes down past bede island which is a little bit easier to get to from the stadium- check the arriva time table on the internet to make sure. If it does you can take the canal all the way to bede island.you come up off the canal near a furniture place that has the bus stop right outside it.I would expect the 5.30 bus to be a little late because of all the footy traffic anyway...
poopbutt Posted 13 August 2010 Posted 13 August 2010 no way you make it to the bus station i'd bet you a whole cheese cob
ozleicester Posted 13 August 2010 Author Posted 13 August 2010 no way you make it to the bus station i'd bet you a whole cheese cob That level of confidence scares me

Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Hey buddy, Call one of these guys below, they run the members bit for your area. Although they do away travel I'm certain they'd be able to put you in touch with the home bus and where it goes from. As long as you ring the person up in charge of the coach in advance and agree a price they'll be fine with you going. I used to get on one after the game and go visit mates in South Notts last season. To book away travel contact either Mick Bembridge on (01530) 811607 or Paddy Buckley on (01283) 223358.Meetings take place on Sundays at the Blue Bell, Smisby Road, Ashby and every other Tuesday at the Snibsdon New Inn, Coalville. Everyone is made welcome. Give that a try, N. Edit : this is what you are looking for........
