I have been looking around the forums and seeing the mixed reactions as to wether sousa should go or not. if sousa goes and another manager comes in and fails to make a decent start then the haters will be out again and we will have another manager mary go round like before so i thought of an idea in which i would like your opinions of to stop the constant critism of the manager and prove your footballing knowledge. how many times on a match day have you said 'he shouldnt be in the team' or 'why has he been dropped' ?, well my idea is similar to what Ebbsfleet united do. I feel that if you are a season ticket holder you along with all the other city season ticket holders become the manager, you all have the rite to go online and vote for what you feel should be citys starting 11 for each specific game, every friday night when the vote closes each player with the most votes in each certain position gets the nod for the game on saturday, this way i feel gives the fans a great chance to pick the starting 11 that the majority want to see, this i feel will also stop the pressure on all managers coming to the club and will save a huge amount of money on wages, it will also leave city fans only blaming themselves for defeat, a few coaches would need to be employed to obviously do the training and subsititutions on a match day but with a bit of technical work i feel this could be a great way for fans to interact with the club and team that the majority of fans want to see on the feild week in week out. Don't just call me stupid, this is a genuine idea and I want your real opinions.

True. I was an Ebbsfleet £35 shareholder and watched them at Wembley win the FA Trophy.

Since then they have plummeted and are now mid table in Conference South having lost to Maidenhead and DOver this season.

People are naturally concerned following a poor start and in the grand scheme of things Sousa has been put in a difficult spot perhaps without even noticing. If as it has been suggested his move to us was manufactured as early as last season, this is an extremely bad way of doing business. He is expecting two years to carry out his plans, has unfaltering confidence in his own ability(self-deluded) and is trying to buy 'his' players. This has been introduced at a time, when all of us had renewed hope and belief following two succesful seasons and a team that really looked quite solid. Resentment has to be high and it is a thankless task to come into this situation with expectations to improve on the previous one very high.

Make no mistake that his need to win the next two games is even stronger than the clubs and if as suggested he has already lost the dressing room his task is unenviable.

Turning to your point, with respect, the more forums you involve, the more opinions you seek the more impossible the task becomes. There will never ever be a situation where you can take everybody's opinion on board - that's why you have managers. Anybody who has run any kind of team will know that. Sometimes people come on here to be provocative, let off steam, insult others or seek information but the last thing you would want is for tactics, ideas to come from a concensus.

Sorry didn't realise Leicester were on par with Ebbsfleet in terms of size. Everyone that was an Ebbsfleet shareholder probably didn't know the team very well and paid £35 just for a bluddy certificate saying they own a club!! We have 14000 season ticket holders that probably know more about Leicester than the Ebbsfleet shareholders knew about Ebbsfleet! This way we would get the majority of what people wanted.

Have absolutely no idea how the Ebbsfleet model could ever work.

How can you do tactical training/training on shape/set piece routines/defending set pieces if you dont know who is going to be in the team until the fans vote?

How could you attract a player into a club in the knowledge that it isnt the guy who signed him thats putting his faith in you, its the people voting online!!!!!

How about appearance clauses/bonuses in contracts?

When a player hits a bad run of form, is that them over for the season...........do the fans just give up picking them?

Actually come to think of it do any of these scenarios matter at the Ebbsfleet level?????????????? theyve hardly got a squad capable of 'Squad Rotation'
