themotivator Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Maybe a bit premature and i don't want to "jinx" it, but I'm not superstitious anyway... ...maybe just a bit overexcited.
Jackirius Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Depends whether Fryatt/Campbell Goes and if we bring anyone in I would like too see Howard and Waghorn up front though. If those two do go...
Guest NGoloMode Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Dyer - Fryatt - Waghorn Very short front line but we are meant to be playing 'passing football' so what does it matter?
Finchy Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Maybe a bit premature and i don't want to "jinx" it, but I'm not superstitious anyway... ...maybe just a bit overexcited. If it doesn't happen i'm blaming you Gino. If he comes, we'll just go with what worked so well last year up front.
themotivator Posted 30 August 2010 Author Posted 30 August 2010 Dyer - Fryatt - Waghorn Very small starting line but we are meant to be playing 'passing football' so what does it matter? i agree with this... would like to think that, when on top of their games, these three would be deadly.

Jackirius Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I dont think Sousa would play 3 up front... Maybe Dyer behind the two...?
themotivator Posted 30 August 2010 Author Posted 30 August 2010 I dont think Sousa would play 3 up front... Leicester_Mad Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Waghorn Howard Fryatt Dyer would be dropped unfortunately and would be the "impact" sub. Although Howard wouldnt be able to start every game so Dyer would get more of a chance and Gallagher has to fit in there too....

I really hope im wrong here, cause i would hate to see fryatt go,but with waggy coming i think its to replace fryatt. As much as i would like to see waggy and fryatt together,i dont think its going to happen (please let me be wrong )

DanTheFox07 Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 is everyone deluded or what, sunderland are not going to sell waghorn get a grip and will it mean that campbell leaves, god our fan`s our so fickle!!! one minute they will love fryatt when he is in the team and scoring and then they love campbell when sousa say`s he wants to do well for this club! if we do end up buying waghorn for the touted 2million that has been speculated then we have been truly done. All i will say is Campbell has to leave been here for what 3 years or so and has done jack shit at this club! so all the rest of u can give me the oh but he needs to play and will do the buisness for us. Ive heard it all before im afraid and quite frankly ive had enough of the people that bum campbell and don`t give fryatt enough credit! i couldn`t care less if campbell leaves and we get 750,000 for him!!! it would end this saga once and for all, Rant over!

I'd laugh me arse off if we sign Waghorn tomorrow. You'd look like a right tit.
z-layrex Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Does Waggy still have a girlfriend in Leicester? Maybe that will play a big influence on his decision?
FrankieADZ Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 waghorn heskey Id love to see that but cant see it happening, altho give me Howard and Fryatt (this is in a 4-4-2)
Mort Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Thats easy Waghorn and Heskey... ...but seriously, if we get Waggs, then him and Howard and/or Fryatt. If Fryatt's off then Gally, if Gally's off then Dyer.
stix Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Weale(or the new guy if he comes!) Neilson Morrison Hobbs Berner N'Guessan King Abe(moreno) Dyer Fryatt Waghorn(fingers crossed!)
ousefox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I remember last year when we played 3 upfront, NP decided to put Waghorn in the middle of the three and that seemed to work well.
Callabinho Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Waghorn and Rochina up top! I think Hobbs might be off
Jake SH Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 If the word on the street is true for me id go with Fryatt and Waghorn, waggers shown last season that he has the physical strength to hold the ball up to allow others to come into play, but also he can do what Howard in my opinion cant run at defences and produce goal scoring chances people may get upset by that comment but to me the only reason we have Howard on the pitch is to challenge for balls when we play a root one style. Howards Characteristics do not fit the type of play in which sousa is trying to embed in the squad and is it worth speculating that for a while there has been no new news about if a contract extension for howard was agreed ?
Guest parky0607 Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 For me, having Waghorn and Howard both up front is too much focus on strength, I'd stick someone nippy alongside them. Ikeme or Weale A right back Morrison Hobbs Berner Abe King Wellens Fryatt Dyer Waghorn Howard could then be a possible alternative for Waghorn, likewise with Gallagher for king / wellens, moreno for abe
