Joe. Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 I wasn't even aware this game was being played? Leicester Reserves 0-1 West Ham Reserves Nouble after 20 seconds... http://www.whufc.com/articles/20100907/frank-downs-foxes_2236884_2146786? Astoundingly nothing on our OS, so no idea of who actually played for us yet.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Another great example of how shit our OS is.
Father Ted Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Is Bill Blanderson still in charge of writing for the OS?
davieG Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Reserves Lose Out To HammersPosted on: Tue 07 Sep 2010City's Reserves side went down 1-0 to West Ham at Belvoir Drive today, but deserved more from this friendly encounter. The Hammers took the lead inside the opening seconds through Frank Nouble but, thereafter, the home side were well on top yet unable to find an equaliser.City dominated possession and chances, being foiled by the woodwork and some outstanding goalkeeping, which meant the equaliser they deserved never came.Coach, Chris Powell, said: "After the first few seconds when they scored I thought we were great. We played some good football and anyone who saw the way we created chances would have said we should never have lost."It was a good workout, not just for the younger prospects, but also for Tom Kennedy and Frank Moussa.Powell added: "West Ham brought up a very experienced side which made it a good exercise for everyone.http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2146954,00.html?

Sounds like our first team. Bla bla on top of the game, bla bla making chances, bla bla shouldn't have lost.
davieG Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Would it kill them to tell us the team? LCFC - RIP
Thracian Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Would it kill them to tell us the team? It just mirrors the indifference and lack of attention to detail that I mentioned as costing the first team so dearly. Nothing against the guy but we have a goalkeeper feeding the ball for our attackers to shoot pre-match and I actually wonder if we have a specialist attacking coach at all. Certainly not by the look of our goals for column. Powell, Taggart, Pearson were all defenders...what is it about our mentality? Winning at football is first and foremost about scoring goals and "nil" in a sodding reserves match is the last thing I want to hear about. It's like listening to our returns from the Eurovision Song Contest. Have they got their media man yet, cos Fez didn't sound interested and I never did get a phone call!
Wymsey Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Is Bill Blanderson still in charge of writing for the OS? My Dad seen him at his golf club and he said he isn't doing much work now so i presume he isn't?
Ford Super Sunday Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 City Reserves: Ambrusics, O'Neill, Bolger, Parkes, Kennedy, Hicks, Milnes, Moussa, C King, Schlupp, John. Subs: Moore (for O'Neill), Verma (for John), Norburn (for Milnes), Warburton (for Hicks). From the Merc.

I thought Verma was unfit to play with a broken wrist/arm(?) or is that just official league games?
Ric Flair Posted 8 September 2010 Posted 8 September 2010 I thought Verma was unfit to play with a broken wrist/arm(?) or is that just official league games? Hahahaaa! Brilliant. Either total ineptness from The Mercury or Kidderminster really thought Verma was a shithouse and fobbed him back to us with a Cantona wrist. I wonder if Sousa will re-kindle his interest in Mr Nouble after this?
