Clive Redman Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Walshy expects Warnock to be up to his usual behaviour tomorrow... "It means another Walkers Stadium visit for Neil Warnock, a man that City fans never have a good word to say about. He's one of the game's characters and has a great record for getting the best out of players, usually at clubs with limited resources. Warnocks probably the sort of manager I would've played well under, but there's no doubting he could be a bit naughty at times. He used to patrol the technical area, and he still does from what I've seen, shouting at the referee. "Warnocks a qualified ref and he pretty much tries to referee the game from the sidelines, constantly haranguing the officials. QPR have had five penalties in six league games this season and the managers bound to have had something to do with that. Hopefully well get a strong referee this Saturday who ignores Warnocks whingeing. I'm sure the City faithful will give him a nice Walkers welcome. Every time he gets off his seat and to the edge of his technical box, it would be great to hear a chorus of Sit down Warnock! That would drown out his moaning to the referee and draw attention to what he's trying to do." For more see... http://www.soarmagazine.co.uk/2010/09/17/steve-walsh-blog-sit-down-warnock/
Fox92 Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Warnock is a character, and a good one for the game. I do like him and he is a passionate manager that most fans would like to have on board. Just hope he doesn't win tomorow or on 5th March.
Jimmy Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 I said on another forum I'm really beginning to like Warnock, its a shame the reaction of the fans at the time he was about to become our manager, and we ended up with Martin Allen
Uncle Monty Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Haha sounds like Walshy was nearly a gonner.
ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 "QPR have had five penalties in six league games." It's not how the game should be played - but fair play to Warnock for giving them the edge this season. His "influence" is probably the difference to topping the league or coming 7-8th in this division. Hope Leicester can beat Colin without resorting to Gamesmanship though.
1964FOX Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Warnock quite rightly gets stick he gets under everyones skin and is very loyal to his team fighting for their cause even if his ways are some times a bit dodgy we'll all despise him tomorrow but I guarantee if he was ours we love him for all his quirks and ways. There's not enough people like him in football any more so I begrudgingly like the man.
Adel Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Warnock loves the game, always has, He's passionate - and you can't really blame him for that. I'd rather have a passionate manager than one that don't give a monkeys as long as he gets paid.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Warnock's decent most of the time, but he has been really stupid on some occasions in the past. He's encouraged his players to injure the opposition on more than one occasion, that is unforgivable really when you consider some of the injuries players suffer.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 Warnock’s a qualified ref and he pretty much tries to referee the game from the sidelines, constantly haranguing the officials. Havn't had much luck on that front so far.
Legend_in_blue Posted 17 September 2010 Posted 17 September 2010 The bloke is an idiot. Why people are defending him just because he is passionate baffles me. Just because he acts like an orangutan on the touchline does not make him any more passionate than anyone else.
acooling08 Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 It was before I was old enough to be a proper supporter, but my dad hates him because he apparently said we shouldn't be allowed to get promoted when we were in administration or something like that.
Madrid_Fox Posted 18 September 2010 Posted 18 September 2010 I used to hate Warnock with a passion but after a few years the guy has grown on me and I don't think he's that bad anymore.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 The guy brings out the very best in his players. Great manager.
