stifler Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 he talks about all that he has done for the club & dismisses the specualtion about pompey & personally, i think that alot of rumors get pushed around on here. ohhh, i dont know Link
Jackirius Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 He is a nonce, pumped full of bullshite which occasionally comes out of his mouth.
Bugg Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 No idea who Manderic is. Heard of a Mandaric though, chairman of a second-tier football team I believe.
Finchy Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 Getting rid of a fantastic young British manager that was doing wonders for our club and replacing him with an inexperienced manager just because he was a more famous player abroad to sell his shares in the club is unforgivable, absolute disabled.

I wish we could find out the true story. I have no idea why MM would let Pearson go so easily. Everything points to the takeover i guess
MPH Posted 27 September 2010 Posted 27 September 2010 I wish we could find out the true story. I have no idea why MM would let Pearson go so easily. Everything points to the takeover i guess The true story is out there. Its been banded about by people who have contacts within the club like Bert and thebigjonstead... the guy you just quoted got it pretty much spot on.
Ron Combo Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 From the very little I've heard (and I mean little), the man is without a shred of humanity or decency. And those are probably his good points.
STUHILL Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 I think he likes to play GOD at Football clubs. The guy never stops going on about how much he has done for us and how he is losing Millions BUT I bet he will make a tidy profit at the end of it all, and he is a businessman So I am not begrudging him that, however, plzzz stop using the media to make out how you're our the saviour and how much you have sacrificed! We know!!!! You tell us every week!! I personally believe it was his and Hoos idea to push Pearson out in their own interests in selling the club. Losing Pearson was in no way a positive for the clubs future, just MM's prospect of selling up!!

STUHILL Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 :crylaugh: That's right, dressing room unrest, bottling the biggest game of his career and hasn't he done well at Hull He will get Hull up there, I'm sure of it. Might not be the prettiest of Football but its effective. Not so sure about bottling either. Taking team like Cardiff to Penalties was awesome for a team newly promoted and with limited spending power. Anyone who can criticise what Pearson did for us is crazy.

Anyone who kisses his ass is crazy, there at least half a dozen managers that got us promoted out of Division Two, he isn't on that list.

How many of those managers took over Leicester after dropping into the third tier of Football? Pearson did a brilliant job and was wrongly sacked...
STUHILL Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Anyone who kisses his ass is crazy, there at least half a dozen managers that got us promoted out of Division Two, he isn't on that list. Don't see how that has any relevance to him doing it. He did it and nearly achieved back to back promotions. That is an impressive achievement regardless of what other people have done for us. If you can't recognise that as a major achievement, then that's crazy. Leeds, Southampton, Charlton have all failed to return from League 1 at the first time of asking. It was by no means an easy feat. To then take that and perform so well and consistently in the Championship and finish 5th was very impressive. You obviously have a problem with Pearson but you can't argue at his ability to get results.
HonradaRaposa Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 How many of those managers took over Leicester after dropping into the third tier of Football? Pearson did a brilliant job and was wrongly sacked... He got us out of League One that is all, we achieved nothing else. Show me all the trophies and promotions out of this division that suggests he is a winner at this level and I will retract my sentiments.

What a ridiculous statement. Promotion and a top 6 finish in your first two seasons as a Manager with a team that has been on a downward spiral for years now. Great achievement by a Manager starting out his career in the game. End of. Good luck winding up the rest of the forum

Cheese Me Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Milan has been alright for us and I feel a bit sad that as his time as our chairman appears to be coming to an end we haven't achieved what was set out and the fans are turning on him. Do you actually remember the state we were in before he arrived and how (almost) all of us were desperate for him to take over. Do you remember the 100+ page thread with all the excitement in there. We've had setbacks and things have gone very wrong at times but it's been an interesting ride and at least we've brought in players like Waghorn, Hobbs, Gallagher, Wellens, Tunchev, Abe, Howard, etc - remember the teams of the likes of Sylla, Josh Low, Stephen Hughes, Andy Johnson, etc. I called for Mandaric's head when everything kicked off about Allen after only a few games but looking back he got the call right and he's backed each of the managers he brought in and at first appearances he's sold out to others who are prepared to back to club too. Yes there have been highs and lows and things aren't looking too hot and the NP issue left a sour taste in all our mouths but I don't think Manadric deserves the stick he's getting now and whilst his financial input is far from transparent we were on a terrible course before he arrived and I'm certain we'll be in better shape after he leaves. We as fans just like to moan too much.
bluefox9er Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 Show me all the trophies and promotions out of this division that suggests he is a winner at this level and I will retract my sentiments. did you honestly expect NP to pull a few FA Cups, league Cups etc out of his arse whilst taking a team, although in division 3, made up of players of div 4 and non-league standard to a penalty kick away from successive promotions a lack of achievement? you must be insane.
Kitchandro Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 :crylaugh: That's right, dressing room unrest, bottling the biggest game of his career and hasn't he done well at Hull Mate, YOU are a complete disabled. How you can criticise Pearson is beyond me. He was a frenchman and 90 minutes away from 2 successive promotions and the Premier League. Kermorgant bottled it, not Pearson. If the ref hadn't been a ****tard we would have gone through before penalties. And he's done better at Hull than bloody Sousa has done here! 'Dressing room unrest'? What Brown being a racist was his fault?

Don't be a plum, but the way people go on about him on this site you'd think he was Midas and we won the Champion League. Those that refuse to accept any criticism of him are frankly fools. Still you point me towards the promotions he has achieved out of this division and I'll retract my cynicism.
Kitchandro Posted 28 September 2010 Posted 28 September 2010 And about Mandaric 'saving the club', it's very debateable how much trouble we were in. Plus, Portsmouth are in more trouble than us now than we were when Mandaric took over - they have not gone under and are above us in the League! We are looking at 2 relegations to league 1 in 4 years! This Mandaric's fault for his poor choice of managers and then getting rid of a good one. He is to blame and I will never forgive him for the relegation and letting Pearson go.

He is not to blame for letting Pearson go, in order to facilitate the sale, he needed to get someone in to appease the buyers, sound business move. While us and Hull are in the same division next season and we are shot of Mandaric no one will be mourning the loss of Pearson.

In virtually every managerial role Pearson has had, he has succeeded. - 4 game caretaker manager spell at West Brom - won 3, drew 1, lost 0 - 4 month spell at Southampton - Kept them up at our expense. - 2 years at us - Got us promoted, and then into the playoffs

Thats what i was driving at..he got us promoted with a team that had players of no quality and then did the same thing again with the SAME players. managers are always measured on trophies, but the intangibles must also be considered. no, we have the same shiity god awful squad and look whats happening...
