Matt Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Did I see Wymeswold Fox saying there was a protest being planned for Saturday? If so anyone got details? If it happens before the game I may not participate, despite saying it can't do much more harm than still having Paulo Sousa still in charge but if it's after, and especially if we get beat, maybe even if win i'll probably participate.
Webbo Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 99% of protests of any kind are self indulgent bollox. I definitely won't be taking part.
Houdini Logic Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 What exactly would you be protesting against?
Matt Posted 29 September 2010 Author Posted 29 September 2010 What exactly would you be protesting against? Paulo Sousa and Milan Mandaric to fuck off.
Houdini Logic Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Paulo Sousa and Milan Mandaric to fuck off. If you read my question and your answer you will notice that they don't work grammatically. If you work out why that is then you will work out why I won't be there
breadandcheese Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 What exactly would you be protesting against? My thoughts exactly. But there's no law like mob law, so we shouldn't get in the way of the mob who are yet to decide if they like Milan or not. Whether they want him out and the Thai owners in, or not. Whether Sousa should go, only for Topp and Milan to choose another clown to run our team. We are in a mess from the very top down.
Fox You Forest Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 What I find more bizarre than a protest is the fact you've taken something Wymeswold Fox said seriously.
unreachable Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 You don't always have to protest against something. Could be a pro-Sousa protest? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protest A protest expresses a strong reaction of events or situations. The term protest usually now implies a reaction against something, while previously it could also mean a reaction for something. Protesters may organize a protest as a way of publicly and forcefully making their opinions heard in an attempt to influence public opinion or government policy, or may undertake direct action in an attempt to directly enact desired changes themselves.[1]
1964FOX Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 I shall be protesting about Football Leagues outrageous decision(empowered by ridiculous rules) to enforce S****horpe to get rid of their last terraced area, feel free to join me. Viva Leicester.
Matt Posted 29 September 2010 Author Posted 29 September 2010 Oh fokkit, Was getting so carried away with people comparing Sousa's start in his Leicester career with MON's, that I thought we were going to do the same thing by protesting, then Sousa will dramatically pull it back and turn it round....

unreachable Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedant I thought you were showing your skill as a pedant in your condescending post against Matt. You even used the word "grammatically" .
bettso Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Paulo Sousa and Milan Mandaric to fuck off. Mandric is fooking off as soon as soon as the takeover is ratified and Sousa will be gone sooner rather than later so is there any point?
Matt Posted 29 September 2010 Author Posted 29 September 2010 Mandric is fooking off as soon as soon as the takeover is ratified and Sousa will be gone sooner rather than later so is there any point? So tomorrow? Even if it was tomorrow it'd be too late. But basically my question hasn't been answered, there probably isn't even one, therefore, may aswell merge with one of the many Sousa out threads or something
Jackirius Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 zzzz.... What will be will be, why do you have to protest? It could jeopardise or teams morale and performance. If Sousa is going to be sacked then he will be sacked. A petty little protest isnt going to help. Get behind your bloody team.
fox123 Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 If you were to say protest against the EDL marching through Leicester than fair enough. But I'm pretty sure Sousa will hang him self and wont need such an event.
Houdini Logic Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 I thought you were showing your skill as a pedant in your post against Matt. Or not? Not.
unreachable Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 Not. You used the word "grammatically". You are a true pedant. Don't feel ashamed though.

Even if it was condescending (if it was, it was nothing personal against Matt), this doesn't make me a pedant. You jumped in with 'just because something is a 'protest' doesn't mean it is against something, it may be pro something...'. You're pointing out something that is not important for the sake of being factually correct. Maybe read that Wiki link mate You used the word "grammatically". You are a true pedant. Don't feel ashamed though. What?! Where's the logic in that?

howsyourfather Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 I think it's good that our fans want to protest about something they feel strongly about. Our club has been f@ckin ruined and i'm ashamed of how things have turned out. I've never been a big milan fan but it's gone too far now, it's clear he pushed Pearson out to get the foreign investors on board, why else would Sousa be at our play off home leg, it's a disgrace. With Pearson we had a team we were proud of once again, a team and manager that respected us as much as we did them but it's been totally ruined by that crooked Serb chasing some extra cash and a quick way out. Our identity has been all but stripped, all this Bullocks about a mid season Thai tour and buying Asian players, Thais training with us and setting up academies in Asia is a joke too, that's not what our football club is about. We have no soul anymore, it's just one thing after another. And I don't blame our best performers from last year wanting to leave us, if I was in their boat i'd want out of this shipwreck of a club. And before people start saying "you fickle fan" being a good fan doesn't mean you have to sit there and watch all this shit happening, say nothing and "get behind the boys" I have spent far too much money over the last few years following this club up and down the country to idly sit back and keep on pumping my money into this farce. I really do dread to think where Leicester City Football Club will be headed in the next few years. And i'm fed up with seeing comparisons to the protests against O'Neil, yes in the end it turned out Martin was the best thing to ever happen to this club but that doesn't mean Paulo will be. Those fans who protested against O'Neil were mad and rightly so but not even that side was shipping the amount of goals we are now. We are **** shit, end of and something needs to be done
eaststandtom Posted 29 September 2010 Posted 29 September 2010 9 games is not enough. 10 games on the otherhand............ before pompey defeat i saw enough in citys displays to suggest sousas style could work. still feel 2 wins would enable the team to play that style of football but this time with confidence and go from strength to strength and only get better.9 games,i feel,is not enough to adjust entirely to a completely different style. if that means no promotion or even no play offs then success in the long term would be worth because of the style of play. however............................ sousa has dropped weale, hobbs, king and fryatt at times this season.the spine of the team which i think is just crazy. its these decisions which makes any support towards him look unjust. sousa certainly is not helping himself but still needs more time and a settled team selection with those 4 players in the team.

Just sums up what people have said in this thread - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67984 (The Germans boycotting a game thread in General Sport). I don't think anyone who posted in that thread has posted or disagreed with this thread, but the comments in that thread sum up the feelings that in England we are happy to sit and go along with something, do nothing about it, and go along with the ride. Happy clappers, 'Ah Sousa and Mandaric are going sooner or later, lets wait till then'.... People power.
