Protest?

What I find more bizarre than a protest is the fact you've taken something Wymeswold Fox said seriously.

Who is Wymeswold fox? I'm only 16 lol

Exactly mate.

Just sums up what people have said in this thread - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67984 (The Germans boycotting a game thread in General Sport).

I don't think anyone who posted in that thread has posted or disagreed with this thread, but the comments in that thread sum up the feelings that in England we are happy to sit and go along with something, do nothing about it, and go along with the ride. Happy clappers, 'Ah Sousa and Mandaric are going sooner or later, lets wait till then'....

People power.

Cheers for that link mate, I hadn't heard about it. Fair play to the german fans who took part, why should they sit back and accept such an increase in ticket prices

Let's be honest we've been unlucky this season, bar Pompey and Burnley we haven't actually played that badly. But 5 points from 8 games isn't good enough for a club our size with our money and quality of playing staff

I think it's good that our fans want to protest about something they feel strongly about. Our club has been f@ckin ruined and i'm ashamed of how things have turned out. I've never been a big milan fan but it's gone too far now, it's clear he pushed Pearson out to get the foreign investors on board, why else would Sousa be at our play off home leg, it's a disgrace. With Pearson we had a team we were proud of once again, a team and manager that respected us as much as we did them but it's been totally ruined by that crooked Serb chasing some extra cash and a quick way out. Our identity has been all but stripped, all this Bullocks about a mid season Thai tour and buying Asian players, Thais training with us and setting up academies in Asia is a joke too, that's not what our football club is about. We have no soul anymore, it's just one thing after another. And I don't blame our best performers from last year wanting to leave us, if I was in their boat i'd want out of this shipwreck of a club. And before people start saying "you fickle fan" being a good fan doesn't mean you have to sit there and watch all this shit happening, say nothing and "get behind the boys" I have spent far too much money over the last few years following this club up and down the country to idly sit back and keep on pumping my money into this farce. I really do dread to think where Leicester City Football Club will be headed in the next few years. And i'm fed up with seeing comparisons to the protests against O'Neil, yes in the end it turned out Martin was the best thing to ever happen to this club but that doesn't mean Paulo will be. Those fans who protested against O'Neil were mad and rightly so but not even that side was shipping the amount of goals we are now. We are **** shit, end of and something needs to be done

Great post. Perfectly sums up my feelings. The sad thing is that we've got players who clearly care about what's happening, and I bet we don't know half of what's going on behind the scenes.

The protest after the Blackburn game & pitch invasions got rid of Pleat, also the Poll Tax was scrapped after the mass demo's & public outcry. so I wouldn't say protests don't work

They can but unless they have a significant majority actively protesting then they can be counter productive.

I think the board had made their mind up about Pleat before then. As for the Poll tax riots nobody gave a shit about those soap dodgers, the opinion polls had more to do with it being scrapped than rent a mob.

Why is it that our fans only start to whisper about engaging in some kind of practical action when it's to have a negative affect? Support YOUR team. Yes, we're pissed off at Mandaric et al, yes we're pissed off with the start to the season, but imagine if you used all of that pent up energy to get behind the lads for the full ninety instead? Now wouldn't that send a message to Sousa/Mandaric/whoever what this club means to us, and that our club isn't a plaything to be fucked with...

I feel more angry about the lack of clarity about the takeover and the identity of the club owners. That I would protest about.

I was over the last 2 years, then our club was made into a plaything and was fooked with....That showed em' didn't it.

There's a lack of respect to the fans concerning the very identity of the club and the ramifications for future finances. I don't want to be associated with a club that turns into being a laughing stock like Portsmouth, Notts County etc.

Fans should sit in their seats after the match come what may and wait for Mandaric to explain himself publicly. I thought the hoopla greeting the "new owners" was very false. Truth please. I'm fed up and angry.

The seating protest is stupid, the seats are there to stop another Hillsborough happening besides the cost of getting football admission is dear so if they ever brought back standind then I'd expect cheaper tickets. Though one good sololution is to have a standing area for part of the ground.

zzzz.... What will be will be, why do you have to protest? It could jeopardise or teams morale and performance. If Sousa is going to be sacked then he will be sacked. A petty little protest isnt going to help. Get behind your bloody team.

If the team are gonna win, they'll win. Why get behind the team?
