HonradaRaposa Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 can he play against Swansea or does he need to wait for international clearance? That is a very intelligent and legitimate question. The answer is yes he will, as his last registered club is in Turkey. International clearance ensures he has no unserved suspensions hoevring over him that could have an adverse effect on us if he were to play without serving said suspension. So Ollie, don't let those who feel the need to mock get you down, they just don't understand football.
lcfc jack lcfc Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Tbh least svens making signings not proven at this level but I reckon he's still got his pace he could cause problems
Corky Posted 20 October 2010 Posted 20 October 2010 Well I hope the move is successful and we get a good two years out of him

Alexikokopops Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 can he play against Swansea or does he need to wait for international clearance? Why would an english player need international clearance!? ! Ollie_Patterson, please tell me your joking? He's not joking. Any player moving from one national federation to another needs a FIFA international registration transfer certificate. Here's some more info. And, in the case of Darius Vassell, he is waiting for one Vassell, who will sign subject to receipt of his international transfer certificate from the Turkish FA and Football League approval, has agreed to a deal lasting until the end of the 2011/2012 season. From here So that's why an English player would need international clearance, and it was a perfectly legitimate question from ollie_patterson
HonradaRaposa Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Darius on SSN now... Is he alongside McQueen or Sawyer? He's got to be better than Jim White or Simon Thomas.
Tilley Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 He said that basically Sven was the major factor in him coming here. He doesn't know much about the squad but looking forward to training and playing football again.

davieG Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 From Bentleys DagenhamFox Posted on 31/10/2010 07:43 Train Journey Home After Preston Match I caught the train home last night and as I am still recovering from my crash, I bought 1st class tickets. Who happened to be on the same train as me, Mr Eriksson, Top, his father and a small entourage of Thai people including a security guy. I chatted to Sven on the platform and once everyone was settled and I finished my sarnie and coffee, I went down to talk to them. Sven didn't say anything that I didn't already know about how the game went. He thought Brown had equalised at the end as I think we all did. Said Howard and Waggy are hard workers but he didn't say much about Fryatt. Vassell is apparently fit enough now for at least a place on the bench, he may have even started him, but his registration still hasn't been transferred to us. I didn't probe this further but was surprised to hear the paperwork isn't completed. I then welcomed Top and his father to the club and thanked them, said it is very interesting times as a fan and that it is going to be a good ride. Shook all their hands and sloped off back to my seat. I felt I was interrupting a discussion and that the Thai's didn't really want to chat but Sven was quite approachable and was more than happy to spend 5 minutes with me.

davieG Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 OS Vassell Receives Clearance Posted on: Thu 04 Nov 2010 The Leicester City squad has received a further boost ahead of this weekend's trip to face Barnsley at Oakwell with the news that Darius Vassell will now be eligible to make his first start for the Foxes. Having signed for the club a fortnight ago, the 30-year old striker's debut had been delayed due to the player's registration being witheld by the Turkish F.A. following his departure from Turkish side, Ankaragucu. With the necessary paperwork now received and completed, Vassell will be eligible to go straight into the squad to push for his first start in a City shirt against Mark Robins' side this Saturday.
