i'm ok with this,

given his versatility it won't hurt having him in the squad, we have to remember that against Hull we had NO strikers on the bench.

sven obviously knows what he's getting and is keen to work with him again, and vassell will surely have a point to prove.

i'm sure sven will still be looking to strengthen up front, even if howard was any good, we'd still be looking to have 2 ball winning CFs ideally

If he plays on the right his pace could be dangerous which is the position i honestly think Svens signed him for.

I'm 100% sure he would be better than Oakley and DNG in those positions.

This is what i'm hoping is the case too.

With limited options I think the three signings in quick succession of Davies, Naughton and Vassell is pretty good work by Svennis.

There been a reoccurring case of this since the summer, people reporting things they had heard, other people then laughing a joking, pouncing on them, taking the piss, only for those people to have egg on their faces when it becomes true.

What does the size of the player matter?

For me as long as he can score goals who cares? If anything it's better in my opinion that they are small so we get the ball down and play!! Never hurt Julian that he was veritically challenged!!!

atleast he's a striker ! we didnt have any on the bench for the game on saturday and we badly needed fresh legs upfront ! hes expereinced, proven goalscorer, give him a chance ffs

I agree but i would like to see WAGHORN and DNG play together , DNG loves running at players and hes a big unit.

I'm not convinced he'll do well for us, but I'm prepared to give him a chance now it looks as though he's signing (I know that contradicts what I said earlier).

Hopefully he can be another Cottee or Powell.

As others have said,lets keep our feet on the ground.we are Leicester not Man City,we are in the Championship not the Premier league.we are also in the closed transfer window,any players of the calibre SGE has got on loan ,has proved to me he is well liked ,knowledgable and players want to play for him.DV yes please.Michael Ricketts plays like he has Ricketts imo though.Sit back and enjoy the ride!

If we dont need a big unit then why does Howard play every game? I would like to see DNG replace howard in my opinion because we always play the long ball thats why Waghorn didnt get in the game on sat because Howard won nothing, all am saying is it would of been nice to see someone like bothroyd come.

Who got, what 1 cap versus Vassells 22. Not saying that makes him amazing but seriously he's better than Rickets. And didn't he score against us a couple of seasons ago!

Bothroyd would be perfect, Hate him, he's a dirty fucker but would be brilliant in your own team just hate to play against him.

He has had his medical today there is a 99% chance he will sign, he has to be out for 2 weeks to deal with fitness, but i dunno howard cant play 90 minutes? Fryatt howard Waghorn vasell?>

lol makes me laugh leicester get a ex international is not that the way we need to be going getting in players with international experience to pass on to the other members of the squad to help them come on even more... i for one want to see more of this .. we are heading in the right direction

Didn't jump out of my seat when I first read this on teletext tonight, but am hoping this could be a Tony Cottee style move bringing in Vassell from the footballing wilderness overseas and once fit, bagging goals and causing havoc at this level.

Can't imagine he's going to hammer us for wages either as he's been sat on his arse in Turkey for a while, low risk, good bit of business I reckon.

Who's our top 5 players?

In no particular order, Weale, Berner, Hobbs, King and Waghorn.

The rest can all fook off as far as I am concerned, I have no time for mediocrity or lazy workshy players.
