Bednar OR Howard?

Recommended Posts

Howard every day. Bednar has had so much expected of him and he hasn't looked threatening at the goal, doesn't look very strong and even though he links play well he always seems to play with his back to goal. I think that he would be more suited to be played with a 2nd striker

Howard. Bednar would score goals in League one but i don't see him scoring many for us during his loan like Fryatt. Waste of a loan signing. Fryatt is better than Bednar technically.

So who do you think bedners ideal strike partner would be??

He's like a Mark De vries player really so a striker like Fryatt that gets the knock on ball with his feet and is good on the ball. So either Fryatt or Waghorn.

Interesting comment! I am sure this has been said in the forum but sven needs to opt for a more out and out goal scorer! are strikers are letting the side down! :chant:

Yes so he would need either Vassel, Waghorn or Fryatt or if he can score goals himself Howard

Bednar, that's why he will get played more than Howard as he is a proven premier league goal scorer, if somebody tells me Howard is don't make me laugh, at least Bednar offers fitness and pace which I feel Howard lacks, which is why he comes off the bench so often. also can I make the point that Howard steps up in all of the big games for example Cardiff last semi away leg. for me it's got to be Bednar by a distance and also we have not seen Bednar's full potential in a blues strip as he needs to settle in.

SO BASICALLY BEDNAR, THEN HOWARD OFF THE BENCH, NOT WHAT HE USED TO BE, THIS IS A DIFFERENT LEICESTER NOW.

I would agree that we haven't seen the best of Bednar yet but if he is this prolific goal scorer how come he has played for the majority of both Forest and Watford games and he has had 1 shot in each game. He is a prolific goal scorer in a formation where he isn't the lone striker

I respectfully disagree

Did I read that right, someone compared Bednar to Mark de Vries. Seriously? And nobody picked up on it until now?

This is a big inside joke on me isn't it? Come on FoxesTalk, come on out you sly dogs!

I'll judge when i've seen Bednar play a few more games for us.

Steady on with your sensible approach, there's no room for that on here, offer us a wildly speculative opinion :D:thumbup:

Neither! Bednar's first touch is diabolical!

Howard, love the guy for his passion and commitment, but maybe he is a little bit past it and the amount of fouls he gives away is becoming a bit of a joke, I do realise that referees tend to pick on him a bit, so think we need a different approach.

We need that fast young 20 year old that is going to bang in 20-25 goals a season, that was supposed to be Waghorn, but what has he done since his £3M price tag?!?!

I agree, why not play a 4-3-3

Weale

Naughton

Davies

Vitor

Cunningham

Abe

King

Wellens

Vassell

Waghorn

Gallagher

We could be deadly

I'm not sure, Bednar is a bit more mobile, but you know Howard will always be in the game.

I think I'd give Bednar another game ot two, but then thats his lot. Needs to get a goal really.

Bednar. Ridiculous to judge him so early, typical bloody City fans. You'd have think some of you would have learned after Yuki Abe.

Bednar isn't some questionably dodgy reject we've picked up on a free, he's a solid player with a proven track record. He's just massively out of match fitness and sharpness and needs to be played in to both.

Steve Howard is over the hill. He isn't a ninety minute player any longer. When we give him a bit of a head start and send him on against tired legs he does come on fighting and he does galvanize us - so leave him to that role.

Howard has more passion

Oh right, oh well that's okay then.

As long as he's got passion - brilliant, get him on.

Oh by the way, I've got more passion than basically all of them combined, I mean I actually support the side so can I play too? I reckon we could find a spot in the line up for Thracian and Daggers, n'all. Oh. And anotherofwalshieswomen.

Lisa up front?

Howard has more passion

What good is passion alone if all it achieves is a succession of free-kicks against. I agree with Finnegan. But Bednar needs to make his mark sooner rather than later..

Of course, he can't labour under the excuse of needing to find fitness forever, I agree.

But I just can't personally see him needing to. He's clearly a very solid player. Thirty goals in eighty games for West Brom, as a target man? Not too shabby, really. Must be better than Howard's return for us.

Bednar has been total turd in both games so far. Had Fryatt put in those 2 performances people would be burning effigies of him on the Narborough Road

We don't have time to be playing Bednar in to form. We need to start scoring sooner rather than later.
