ozleicester Posted 24 December 2010 Posted 24 December 2010 just seen Woodgate near frog island , at the corner of fosse road north Streetwalking? times really are tough..... but.. would you?
dannythefox Posted 24 December 2010 Posted 24 December 2010 If he could stay fit then great, but i think he could still get a good run out in the prem, so i dont think leicesters the team for him.
MPH Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 Would have him in a heartbeat. Sven always rated him highly when he was England manager so you never know. Thats somthing worth following up on... does anyone know if Sven picked him often for England squads?
Sly Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 He'd be difficult to pick as he's been injured for the majority of his professional career. With his tainted past, I'm not exactly sure this move would sit that well with the large majority of the Leicester fans. He's a good, solid centre back when fit though. I want us to stop bringing in loans and build a squad of our players. You can't build a house if your foundations are made of sand.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 No thanks. Dodgy fitness and mentality wise.
ibbosuk Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 No thanks. Dodgy fitness and mentality wise. We need to buy and not loan players,
bettso Posted 26 December 2010 Posted 26 December 2010 Thats somthing worth following up on... does anyone know if Sven picked him often for England squads? Whenever he was fit he was in the squad. Sven made it clear at one point that Woodgate and Terry were his first choice as centre halves.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Cardiff boss Dave Jones has made an audacious bid to sign Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate on loan. Woodgate is also a loan target of Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray. Source: BBC Transfer Gossip. Seems Cardiff are splashing cash they don't have again.
MOT Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Will come back to where he belongs He was the master of his own downfall, though. Was going on to be one of if not the best English centre backs of all time (was better than Ferdinand by MILES) until the infamous mill hill incident. Whilst Bowyer thrived on the pressure and played his best football at Leeds, Woody lost three stone, and when he put the weight back on couldn't handle it, which lead to dodgy knees.
chezza68 Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 All the loan players Sven has bought in have done a good job.But i would rather us buy someone who would be a Leicester player and wear the shirt with pride.Having said that i hope we can get Naughton on a permenant deal.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 If he could stay fit, he would be absolutely awesome at this level. Problem is though when was the last time he played more than 10 games in a row?

Sven has stated several times that he is finding it veryhard to sign players whilst in this division, loans right now are the best opportunity to get quality players in. If we get promoted it will be no problem at all!
