Rocket-Ron Posted 4 January 2011 Posted 4 January 2011 Ok ...so this might well go down like a lead balloon but if your into alternative music check out Leicester band 'Surrender The Coast' www.myspace.com/surrenderthecoast Are you sure they're not from mid wales??
danlcfc4ever Posted 4 January 2011 Author Posted 4 January 2011 haha positive mate.. I guess thats refference to FFAF or Lost Prophets?
The Doctor Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 I usually quite like the heavier stuff - lostprophets, unearth etc. but this, screaming + a vaguely american singing voice, no thanks.
Finnegan Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 "Heavier stuff" "Lost Prophets", . If you want heavy local band... ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nguVtpZAFGQ
The Doctor Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 "Heavier stuff" "Lost Prophets", . they're heavier than some of my other stuff - wombats, everything everything, snow patrol, the script etc. edit: Ooh, i like that internal conflict track.

Jay Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 everytime I hear something like this., it just makes me want to listen to this again!!! What a tune that is!
lavrentis Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 Listened to the EP ? on Spotify and thought it was alright.
Jay Posted 7 January 2011 Posted 7 January 2011 Wouldn't really call AOF screamo, though. it was more the two different vocal styles on one track aspect that anything else
danlcfc4ever Posted 9 January 2011 Author Posted 9 January 2011 Listened to the EP ? on Spotify and thought it was alright. Awesome everytime I hear something like this., it just makes me want to listen to this again!!! What a tune that is! Good Taste!! Alexisonfire are the best.
Jay Posted 9 January 2011 Posted 9 January 2011 Good Taste!! Alexisonfire are the best. the dallas green/ city and colour acoustic stuff is ace as well, although f**king depressing at times!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 January 2011 Posted 10 January 2011 Dallas Green is an absolute genius, City and Colour are brilliant and Alexisonfire nail catchy choruses perfectly, love them. Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage doesn't use his singing voice often enough for me, he's got a massive pair of lungs on him. There are tonnes of decent vocalists in the many various different sub genres of 'metal.' Although my tastes have softened since I was thirteen/fourteen, I still appreciate quite heavy bands like Twelve Tribes, and I'd give my scrote to see Glassjaw live.

Agree with pretty much everything you said there! I saw Alexisonfire twice last year, brilliant both times. Yeah its good GlassJaw are together and touring again, the guys other band head automatica were good but not up the Gj standard. the dallas green/ city and colour acoustic stuff is ace as well, although f**king depressing at times! haha yeah, i love his acoustic version of boiled frogs.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 Can't go wrong with some BTBAM, if you like that then check out the song 'White Walls'. It's probably split into two parts on Youtube somewhere. Absolute beast of a band, really innovative.
Mark Posted 14 January 2011 Posted 14 January 2011 Wouldn't really call AOF screamo, though. Some of their early stuff was, not into much of this music anymore but their first album was brilliant.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 17 January 2011 Posted 17 January 2011 Very very extreme, just as a warning.
