Gases have a calorific value and I’m assuming that the gases we produce in our bodies have quite a high value because they are flammable

The best way to lose weight is to use up more calories , so does farting out highly calorific gases help to lose weight ?

I only eat gas in enclosed spaces like lifts or small offices. not orifices

When buttoning a shirt, do you button from the neck down or from the waist up?

I've always went from the neck down. I recently saw someone button from the waist up and thought this really weird as I don't think I'd ever seen it before.

Waist up, never understood going neck down.

Ask your missus which she has seen most often :D

edit;

i think i always start from about the 3rd button down , work down wards and then the top 2 ( if i'm putting on a tie which is rare )

I'm the first classy guy she been with. All the rest wore t shirts.

How many t shirts she's seen being taken off? God only knows.

I button from the middle down and then I do the top 2 upwards.

Anyone got any suggestions on getting a quick referral to a consultant/specialist?

Went to the docs before christmas about a rugby injury to my lower back. He told me to rest it for a week or two and come back in if it's still a problem. I slipped a disc a few years ago and it caused me all sorts of pain and it was a horrible period in my life. I'm just worried and really don't want this to develop again and i'm anxious to get it seen to. I've rested for the last few weeks but it's still an issue.

TL;DR - Want a quick referral to consultant because of previous back injuries.

Does anyone have one of these private contract plans for their car? I'm looking for a new motor in the £5k - £6k region but don't have the cash. These PCP deals look reasonable. Anyone have any experience good or bad to share?

Speaking of cars, does anyone know of a car which is big enough across the back for 3x child seats?

what age range? Are you talking one of these being a booster seat? As most cars (in middle) won't be able to secure a child seat properly.

I used to have a Renault Espace and that had three individual seats across the back. They were a bit narrow though but I think would fit 3 child seats with a squeeze.

Shame the car was shite

Does anyone know anything about shorthand? Why I ask is one day last week I saw an old typewriter in a charity shop window. I guessed it was a shorthand one because there was only about six keys and had strange symbols on the front. When I returned later on it had gone. Forget the make. May have been Taylor. Someone obviously thought it worth buying at just under £100.

Sure the ticket was £99.99.

Not quite but just google and it could have been a stenograph that they use in courtrooms. Just thought it looked strange. Must have been an antique to be sold as quick.

I know what might have been. A braille writer. Just saw some images and they don't have many keys. I just assumed it was shorthand.

If I was to start looking for a mortgage online, can you do it multiple times, like car insurance, without it counting against you in someway (possibly like a credit score)?

I have read the moneysavingexpert stuff about mortgages and I am viewing flats around at the moment. What I basically want to do is is get my self set up so that when I do see the property that I want I am fully ready to put an offer in.

With all of the fees and stuff that go with it are they usually paid when you actually move in or do you have to pay up front?

As you can probably tell I am a first time buyer so have a lot of questions!
