bjblyth Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 This article is quite interesting about the Walkers getting a new surface mid term - but it really made me laugh that City's head groundsman is called 'Ed Mowe' http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2273438,00.html Is it a coincidence or does this man love his job that much he hit the deed poll office!?!?
lildave3 Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Rumours are that London won the olympics aswell.
MC Prussian Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 New pitch - great. Looks shit in patches, though.
stix Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Happy birthday blyth...did the birch give you a shout out in the end?
Haydos Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 New pitch - great. Looks shit in patches, though. can't be that great then. What do you mean? Cutting up? Or just doesn't look very good?
Bert Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Ed Mowe is a top bloke. The pitch looks patchy because it's mud, a bit of rain and it'll look fine.
MC Prussian Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 can't be that great then. What do you mean? Cutting up? Or just doesn't look very good? The green's not the same over the entire pitch. There are dozens of little patches that still need to grow together.
Bert Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 The pitch needed an extra weeks prep for it look pristine. Just wait until the next home game, it'll look tip-top.
Babylon Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 The pitch needed an extra weeks prep for it look pristine. Just wait until the next home game, it'll look tip-top. Cheers Ed... sorry I mean Bert.
Swalker Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 A pitch is a pitch. I really don't care what it looks like if we play like we did today everyday and win every game on it. But it did look patchy and when it takes it will look like a premiership pitch for premiership quality football
bjblyth Posted 23 January 2011 Author Posted 23 January 2011 Happy birthday blyth...did the birch give you a shout out in the end? Not my birthday, my Dads... But yes I believe the Birch gave a couple of shout outs for him. Fantastic. Do I know you!?
