hackneyfox Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Yeh exactly, it's not that I'm just blindly in support of players we've already got, it's just that Sven has tried to replace Hobbs with Vitor, Mee and Davies and none have really looked a class above. All it's done really is unsettle the defence even more, and the quality of defending hasn't really improved. It's almost like he and Sven don't get on because he seems desperate to pick anyone over him. For me Vitor & Davies are clearly a class above Hobbs.

Davies looked a class above at the start, then looked terrible in December - and Hobbs was performing much better. Vitor - good passer, bad defensive instincts.

Yup, I wonder what it'd be like if we played Hobbs on his preferred side where Naughton's pace can assist. Stick Bamba at LCB and although he maybe slightly less comfortable his ability/rubber legs/rub of the green he's getting could see him through. Although with the signing of Van Aanholt could render that pointless
