Of course King would score in the Premiership. How would anyone stop him? He hardly ever takes more than one or two touches. What are the defenders going to do - cast a magic spell on him to stop him thinking? Don't you think Championship managers haven't warned their defenders to keep an eye on King? Trouble is he doesn't beat people with speed of foot but with speed of mind and there's not many as quick in the head as King. Think of someone like Scholes. He's not quick. He'll never leave a single opponent behind for pace. So why does he find time and a half in every midfield? Cos his brain is about three stations in front of the locomotive. And the ball's in the net before the doors of the train have been closed. Exactly, he's already proved it by scoring against Man City and taking advantage of Englands best keeper.

If/when we get to the Prem, King could start to become a more widely known player, and if he becomes a household name, then its marketing gold. A well known player, with the same name as the company they're trying to promote? Happy days for Top and his Dad. Point being, they may not be prepared to part with him, even for big money. Here's hoping anyway. King
harryboi72 Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 if were being honest i dont think king is worth anything more than £6 million at the moment, hes an amazing player but hes only worth what people will pay for him and hes not high profile enough for someone to part with over that much for him

Raj Posted 14 February 2011 Posted 14 February 2011 Personally thinks he has games when he goes very quiet for a long period of time then pops up with a goal! Also dont think he shoulod be Captain as he should concentrate on his game. wellens should be Capt. before you start,im not in any way slating King as i openly love him as a son but he is young and still learning his trade and i think too much depends on him sometime. Dont want him burning out too soon as he is a MASSIVE influence on this Club.
