Onions Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 £6.5 million is what Hoffenheim paid for a young, Internationally capped goalscoring midfielder plying his trade in the Championship. Something around that would seem about right. You beat me to it <_<
cc_star Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Somewhere around £5-6m Talk of any more than that is just bullshit unless he does the same in the Premier League For us though he's priceless, especially if his goals fire into the Prem.
Adster Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 Will start for Wales tomorrow. You know this how?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 If carroll is worth 35 million then king is worth at least 12 mill :D Hey you might be joking but id say 8-10 Million is not too far off realistically?
Stevosevic Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 King is starting tomorrow night, i will watch with interest. http://www.teamtalk.com/match/preview/978/6737118/Speed-reveals-Wales-starting-XI Wales team: Hennessey, Eardley, D Collins, J Collins, Ricketts, Crofts, King, Vaughan, Church, Earnshaw, Robson-Kanu.

Asherz Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 why are people saying he will stay here most of his playing time ? do he not have apirations... your forgetting heskey is blue inside and out yet he left toprogress his footballing life. i do not hold grudges with any player who leaves leicester because they want to win leagues, medals, play in europe..... you wouldnt get a job and just not aim for any kind of promotion would you? i would say he is worth around 8 million at the moment with prem experience the figure rise to around 15 million.. breaking th club record iirc

At this moment in time we are a Club going places and I'll bet there won't be many better English Clubs to be at in 5 years. Then there's the issue of game time - he would want to be somewhere where he is playing football week in week out. Izzet stayed with us for the majority of his career and what a player he was, so it's a possibility he could be here for the long haul.

Haydos Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 Probably a bit of an ambitious statement. Like you said, grass isnt always greener but players don't often see it that way. Hears to hoping he's a loyal 'un.
Kitchandro Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 Probably a bit of an ambitious statement. Like you said, grass isnt always greener but players don't often see it that way. Hears to hoping he's a loyal 'un. Maybe, but we've got the money an the manager (for now). Looking at the Clubs in the Premier League, I'd say we could easily be a top 7 team with aspirations of winning the FA Cup in 5 years. If all goes to plan. I'd like to think King is as level-headed as he seems. I don't think he'll be leaving for just any Prem team that comes along. If he keeps developing he could be good enough for a big Club like Spurs, but not yet.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 Nice job. Your crazy view of what constitutes value aside, Adam scored 18 goals last season with 8 assists. I based that on this season mate
Haydos Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 I based that on this season mate He's playing in the prem. we're not EDIT: He's still got 6 goals and 6 assists there.
tackleberry Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Lets keep our feet on the ground here. King is a good player, but at present thats it. Yes he has scored however many goals, but you cant be judged until you have played in the PL, and i hate to say it, I just cant see him being allowed to make those runs. How many has he scored for Wales?

Christoph Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Yeah, but...Wales are shite. Agreed . Still, what is it, 14 goals this season? From a midfielder who's team isnt even in the top 6 yet. I mean, thats pretty damn good.
tackleberry Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 So were we until Sven took place, remember that.....
HankMarvin Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 I hope he has a stinker against England next month, if he plays and plays well this will put him on a lot of teams radars
MikeyT Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 If Olly thinks Adam is worth £20m King has got to be worth £50m scores more goals Albeit in 2 different leagues though.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 It is not just the amount of goals he has scored since breaking into the team, it is the quality of them which blows me away. the last 3 for instance one a sublime chip over a keeper no more than a few yards from his line. A run from his own half followed by a neat finish into the corner and the way he took the goal last night with an outside of the foot flick was sublime.

How many has he scored for Wales? It's people like you who said Gradel wouldn't get goals either but he's got 10 so far this season while in a higher placed team than ours and how I wish Vassell could manage that!. Of course King would score in the Premiership. How would anyone stop him? He hardly ever takes more than one or two touches. What are the defenders going to do - cast a magic spell on him to stop him thinking? Don't you think Championship managers haven't warned their defenders to keep an eye on King? Trouble is he doesn't beat people with speed of foot but with speed of mind and there's not many as quick in the head as King. Think of someone like Scholes. He's not quick. He'll never leave a single opponent behind for pace. So why does he find time and a half in every midfield? Cos his brain is about three stations in front of the locomotive. And the ball's in the net before the doors of the train have been closed.
