I don't think Scotland play a 433/451 and therefore don't have the sort of loose, midfield/forward/wide/central position that we employ him in. If you remember last season, he was clearly a talented player (some would say the most technically gifted at the club) but Pearson couldn't find a role for him that suited his talents.
