Happy Fox Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Ah just read that bit, knowing DMU i wont be able to get one of them until the early bird offer runs out! I go to DMU as well do you think by showing them confirmation letter from last August is useful.
Leicester Lass Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 I go to DMU as well do you think by showing them confirmation letter from last August is useful. Not if it only confirms your attendance to university this academic year. You'll need one to prove you are going to be a student next academic year also.
Bluefoxtim Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Student prices are incredible I graduate this year but I'll still be a student when I buy the ST so hopefully I'll qualify. £130
Unit Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 I go to DMU as well do you think by showing them confirmation letter from last August is useful. I think that hawthorne building is the place to get it done, I reckon i'll go down in a bit and have a go. I'll let you know if it's not

Not sure, depends on how strict the ticket office are going to be. For example, you'd still have your student card if you'd dropped out of uni, and I know that my sister's university processed hers wrong so she had 2 extra years as a 'student'. I'd say you're better off getting a recent letter. It won't be difficult, the university will have a template letter already I would imagine, I know mine does anyway.

OmnipresentSam Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Awesome. I was looking to get a season ticket this year, but wasn't expecting a price that good for students!

Len Finsbury Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Student prices are outrageous. If only I was a mature student..... .... oh wait At that price I can even afford to miss the odd game if I have to. Guess who'll be at The University of Glos admin office on Monday!!
OmnipresentSam Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 I went into the ticket office just now (live 5 minutes away) and the woman said that an NUS/University card should be fine to prove you're a student... I am still going to try and sort some letters out though.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 £410! I just hope the price of prawns remains stable
Jackirius Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 I might as well get a student season ticket, will work out around the same price or cheaper than paying for the individual matches.
topharry123 Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 I'm not an ST holder but think the prices are fair. We want success and we all want the top name players to come in. I'd rather our club be funded by our income rather than by the owners. Look at Chelsea, haven't made a profit in years and won't do for many years either. They've had success, but when Abromovich walks away they could be in real trouble. Then take Arsenal, a club funded basically by their income. Have enjoyed a decent amount of success and have a great squad and manager. I'd rather be like them than Chelsea.

Have enjoyed a decent amount of success and have a great squad and manager. I'd rather be like them than Chelsea. I was going to post something sarcastic about having the luxury of chosing to be like Chelsea or Arsenal, 2 of the most successful teams in England in recent years... ...then I thought about it a bit more, theirs could be a model we are going to try and emulate, Sven is already focussing on yoof, he is getting our youth team players more loans and experience than they did under Pearson, we already have one of the most successful academey teams, we now need to turn that into producing first team players, playing football the Sven way. A few other things that have been introduced with Sven and the Thais, bringing in a few players for the future such as Uchechi, maybe Norales (I'm not to sure about him though) bringing in players from Indonesia wasn't it to train at our centre of excellence, with Sven's contacts in the game similar if not greater than Wenger's then we could get a good scouting network set up, especially in the far east, bring in good young talent early and train them to play the Sven way, sell them on for a big profit. This is a long way away though and we are just starting but they have certainly been making some interesting moves. The downside of the Arsenal model is I think that their ticket prices are the highest in the country, and they produce very few local talents, Wilshire is their only true local boy, (I think).
Fox in a Box Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Students cant afford it right?!!! they are moaning about education fees!............ also they are trouble.... just look at the demo's HIKE the prices I say!
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Im an apprentice, got a NUS card so hopefully can pick one up for 130. If not and I was charged 200 + I'd tell them to stick it. Just go to some awayers instead. Really wish our club did away season tickets.
Dylan Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Anyone know how much a under 18 season ticket will be AFTER the earlybird deadline?
davieG Posted 18 February 2011 Author Posted 18 February 2011 Anyone know how much a under 18 season ticket will be AFTER the earlybird deadline? I would imagine it will depend on what League we're in
olliebd Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Loving the student prices ... But does any one know if I could pass my student season ticket onto my grandad ( obviously a OAP,) because I wont be able to make every game. One of the benefits of being in Ireland
