Stringer you are not helping the club!

Getting sick of this bloke and his opinions, he is a sports journalist/ commentator, not a pundit. He hasn't got the background or experience in the game to comment on the team.

His position in local media is very powerful and his favouritsm of certain players (Waggy, Bruno) and subtle bad mouthing of others (Ricardo, Kirkland, PVA), can have a great influence over some fans, who are likely to be the idiots booing or calling for other players to come on.

Its a long shot but I hope he reads this and thinks about his influence and how valid his opnions are.

You've got no chance him taking any notice unfortunately. Although I echo your sentiments completely.

He knows that these kind of comments wind people up and provoke a response, that's what they want. They love all the angry phone calls, and then the other sensible people trying to combat less level headed ones.

I refuse to listen now, I'd rather follow the game on here if I can't be there.

I usually don't mind Stringer to be fair, but it's pretty obvious his Weale bumming on RL every monday night isn't helping the Ricardo situation at all.

Completely agree, he clearly has his favourites and he can't admit that they aren't good enough/aren't performing i.e. Berner, Hobbs, Fryatt etc. I think last night put the nail in Bruno Berner's coffin, he clearly isn't good enough anymore. I am sick of his clear dislike of Ricardo as well, every week it is "So Sven, is Ricardo position in the team justified" FFS he wasn't at fault for any of the goals last night. The likes of Oakley need to be gutted from the squad, I think I would rather see Moussa or Moreno in midfield. Moussa seems to be playing well for Donny and perhaps worth a gamble.

All in all Sven needs to go back to the 4-3-3 and get a settled team.

Used to just accept that he was 'our twat' but he pissed me off last night with some of his comments about players.

Does he still mention selling Fryatt every time someone misses a chance?

Like he never missed any!!!!! ha.

I have thought for some time that you guys who have gone before me on this thread are amongst the more enlightened with your evaluations on this site. Totally agree about Stringer, I could not have blamed Sven if he had told Stringer exactly where to get off!

Pearson would tell him to **** off, like he did last season. Who is he to tell Sven that he is picking the wrong team.

Well half of this board is full of idiots who want to ship out most of his signings.

People still calling for Weale, Dyer, Hobbs, Berner, Fryatt, Waghorn.

Waghorn has done very little but Yakubu and Vassell get the stick

Ricardo gets the stick for last night some how.

Berner is apparently the best left back at the club.

Dyer just gets worse each game but apparently must start every game.

I'm hoping that some on here are going to have a very unhappy summer as many of their pinups are sold.

Totally agree with nealry everything said in this thread - a few weeks ago I posted in a similar thread voicing my opinions of Stringer being a clown and quite a few people rushed to his aid!

As for this whole Ricardo thing, its starting to really really get me angry and totally sums up some sections of Leicester fans. Ricardo has been bought in by Sven because he sees him as better than Weale. He has not been bought in because Sven thinks Ricardo is worse. Ricardo happens to be a bit more eccentric than Weale, and historically players like that haven't got on well at Leicester and aren't usually the type we go for.

I think Ricardo has much better distribution than Weale. He's better at getting the ball forward, is more composed with the ball at his feet, and is better at kicking and throwing (in mine and Sven's opinion by the look of it). Sven has deliberatley tried to build a very quick squad - his intentions are clear by playing wingbacks and bringing in Vassel, Ricardo is there to help with attacking from the back as much as he is as a shotstopper. Idiotic morons shouting "Weale" at every game are probably the same morons that wanted O'Neil to leave after his first few games, and the same morons that invariably call Radio Leicester after a first defeat in a while calling for the managers head. But then I guess now Mandaric has gone these clowns need somewhere else to deflect their unjustified whinging.

I am all for dropping Oakley though. Haven't rated him for the last 2 seasons, and if we're seriously going to mount a quality challenge then we need players of a better calibre than him.

Going back to the OT, pipe down Stringer, and lets get someone in who is knowledgable enough to pass comment...

Neither he or Alan Young help the situation at all.

The amount of stick they were giving Yakubu last night was ridiculous. Waghorn was appaling when he came on yet they didnt mention that, King missed a couple of really good chances yet they didnt mention that.

Stringer once again mentioned Fryatt last night whilst the Hull game was 0-0, yet not a word once they'd lost 1-0. He uses other results and ex-players to suit his argument but when it goes agains (Hull losing to Cardiff at home) not a mention, and asking Sven about the goalkeeper is a complete embarassment. At one point last night he commented, 'the crowd are chanting for Waghorn. Can you hear them Alan' insinuating that Sven should bring him on. Well he did and he was garbage. The insinuation that because the crowd chant something they know better is ridiculous.

Weale is an ok keeper but nothing more. We all know he gets beaten from distance too often, his kicking is wayward and to be honest, he's never been the safest pair of hands when it comes to crosses.

Idiots in the crowd I can cope with but idiots in the commentary I cant. Last night both of them said that the crowd were completely entitled to boo Ricardo and chant for Weale.

Idiots.

Tbh I don't tune into his 'obnoxious' rants after a game (usually travelling after watching game).

I've formed my own opinion on Ricardo without stringers non balanced journalistic opinions somehow 'brainwashing' my own....

I agree he has a position of influence within the media and he should be more balanced as all media outlets should(!). But like the author of article all fans have their opinion and it seems a large split is forming around how they voice their opinion during games.

I don't agree on booing or chanting at all helps no one, I don't rate Ricardo and believe weale is overdue his place back in the team.

Am indifferent to stringer, sometimes a good source of info sometimes annoyance. Marmite.

If you don't like him don't listen, find absurd anyone could suggest a link to booing and his opinion.

I was going to mention Young as well, your points are absolutely spot on, Young's slating of Yakubu was non stop and this idea that you're allowed to express your opinions because you've paid your money is unjustifiable and to hear that from an ex pro is unbelievable.

I think Stringer asked those questions to Sven last night because that's what everyone was talking about, I thought they were fair questions tbh, fair play to him. If he hadn't have asked him, I can assure you people would be wanting to know why he pussyed out of the important questions.

He does however need to trim down the personal opinion, but he is a fan first and a commentator second. Could you do that job and stay unbiased? I certainly couldn't.

Well if we don't like him and we don't listen to him just how else are we meant to listen to commentary on the match?

I pay my money for Foxes Talk so apparently I can voice my opinion.

1. Form a petition to oust out and get Neville foulger back.

2. Online feeds

3. Go to the games

Go on Hackney go for point one it'll definitely work ;-)

Stringer is about one thing in my opinion, himself.

If he makes enough waves he may just get noticed.

I think he is fully aware that his interviews with Sven are listened to by more than just the local media and fans, and he is hoping to get a bigger gig.

I agree with Stringer that paying fans have their right to speak their mind on players or issues affecting the club, however Stringer and Young need to be more measured in what they say as I fear too many form an opinion from sitting at home and listening to what they say and treating it as gospel.

It's not JUST him that causes the problem, there are a multitude of reasons that contribute to people getting on players backs (these forums being one of them). But it all certainly has an effect.

I do go to games but it isn't possible to go to midweek games when you live in hackney.

Explain about online feeds, is there commentary?

Agreed

No doubt one would be their own opinions on what they are seeing
