Drift Posted 11 March 2011 Posted 11 March 2011 Some funny ones in here... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11096_6806592,00.html Including: DARIUS VASSELL The then Aston Villa striker missed several games after he drilled through his toe nail with a home power drill thinking it would relieve the pressure on a swollen toe. The attempt at DIY surgery succeeded only in giving the toe an infection which required medical attention.
Rocket-Ron Posted 12 March 2011 Posted 12 March 2011 They do this at work.. Though with very small drills. Still makes me cringe when I see it
Zingari Posted 12 March 2011 Posted 12 March 2011 why haven't they got any of the multitude of strikers being garroted by snoods ?
Itsthejoeker Posted 12 March 2011 Posted 12 March 2011 KASEY KELLER The American international knocked out his front teeth while pulling his golf clubs out of the boot of his car.
StanSP Posted 12 March 2011 Posted 12 March 2011 Jerome Boateng dropped something on a plane I think, meant his debut at Man City was delayed cos he injured part of his foot quiet seriously. And I can't remember the names, but I remember someone dropping a glass bowl on their foot, and someone getting their fingers caught in a car window.
Narborough_fox Posted 12 March 2011 Posted 12 March 2011 Liam Lawrence stood on either his remote or dog and broke his foot
Haydos Posted 13 March 2011 Posted 13 March 2011 Liam Lawrence stood on either his remote or dog and broke his foot Can you not remember which because they both look so similar
Bugg Posted 13 March 2011 Posted 13 March 2011 Liam Lawrence stood on either his remote or dog and broke his foot He tripped over his dog and fell down the stairs.
AoWW Posted 13 March 2011 Posted 13 March 2011 He tripped over his dog and fell down the stairs. Was he carrying a remote at the time?
Bugg Posted 13 March 2011 Posted 13 March 2011 Was he carrying a remote at the time? He might have done, you'll have to ask him
AyewJoking Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Ferdinand buggered himself whilst watching tv. He also injured himself whilst watching tv.
millzi Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 Is Darius Vassell the thickest player in football!? That sounds absolutely ridiculous!
Big Ol' Bob Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 West Ham's Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Roy Carroll has suffered an injury setback. Carroll missed Sunday's 2-1 win over Middlesbrough after picking up a bizarre training ground injury. The 27-year-old was collecting footballs on Friday when his studs got caught in the goal-netting and he injured his knee. Interestingly, Carroll is now a free agent after being released by Odense. He was on trial at Sheffield United however he conceded two goals within ten minuets and was sent off, which led to a penalty during a reserve match against Barnsley. As a result of his poor performance whilst on trial, he was not offered a contract with the Blades.
shen Posted 16 March 2011 Posted 16 March 2011 And I can't remember the names, but I remember someone dropping a glass bowl on their foot, and someone getting their fingers caught in a car window. Wasn't that David James? Didn't Ian Walker do almost exactly the same thing while he was here? Ah, just found this. It was Canizares, although James also figures with a silly injury Interestingly, Carroll is now a free agent after being released by Odense. He was on trial at Sheffield United however he conceded two goals within ten minuets and was sent off, which led to a penalty during a reserve match against Barnsley. As a result of his poor performance whilst on trial, he was not offered a contract with the Blades. He did quite well at Odense, but he wanted to go back to the UK so got released from his lucrative contract.
samjohnson Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I think Mark Fish, playing for Charlton at the time, fell through a sheet of glass of some sort
Zingari Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 I think Mark Fish, playing for Charlton at the time, fell through a sheet of glass of some sort that really is going through the "pane" barrier
