Reading away

Trying to squeeze in another away day, just wondering if anyone can tell me much about Majeski.. from the pics it looks the same as the walkers?

Looking at heading down from Brum... anyone like a lift and can throw in a few pounds for petrol will be welcome if i am inspired to go.

Is it a good away day?... do we think we will take many?... do they have a good turn out?.... how is travelling and parking?

Cheers

Only ground in the league I've not been.

A mate of mine quoted it as "the worst away day he'd ever been on" and "the mongiest home support he'd ever seen". lol

If we win at Boro and win the two home games it'll be good IMO, could well take 4,000 odd.

The small-time clowns still ain't even announced prices but for Pompey it's £25 adults, £19 17-21 and £10 U17.

If you're choosing between this and one of the others... I don't know, really does depend on the circumstances.

well then, thats pretty clear... i already plan to try for Ticks to Forrest... but are any of the other aways worth the trip?

Reading is not worth the effort whatsoever. Just about the worst ground/stewards/city turnouts/home support going in English football.

Not touching Boro now which is largely the same but did have weekend potential.

So just Forest, which can't be missed even at £30+ and Donny which will be a giggle much like Barnsley and Scunny, Yorkshire is always a laugh.

Do the latter two even if theres nothing to play for.

Yeah Reading was bollocks last year. Was extremely quiet and the only good part were the Coleman chants (cos he was commentating) and Waggy's goal obviously but that's it!

Plus, the stadium is very out of the way. Not near the centre of town or anything.

Was going to go to this with a yank called scott off this forum but we've decided to sack it off and go to Amsterdam instead. Sorted.

Good call.

Much the same as Tommeh. Reading away plays only second fiddle to the Ricoh.

Same for me now I think.

Wanted to go Scunny but wasn't in the country but Forest and Donny are definites.

Both will be pretty cheap considering the short commutes, plus forest's student price is £12 and I'm guessing Donny won't be too bad even if there isn't a student.

It's unlikely but hopefully we'll still be playing for something too :scarf:

That's fairly put me off it now. I'm staying in Oxford that weekend and heading down on the saturday.

I was really looking forward to this

Just don't go expecting much in terms of atmosphere! Think of it as a home game
