B52 Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 The third goal reminds me off when Ricardo came to punch against Portsmouth and missed completely, leaving the goal open. You can't possibly know that. Neither Weale or Ricardo are good enough. You just can't defend doing what Sven did in taking Weale out after keeping us in the game against Sheff Utd (Let alone getting us the 3 points). I can agree that it was a wrong decision to le Ricardo play instantly when Weale had managed to get a few good results. But the decision had to come sometime in the future so I think Sven wanted something Weale isn't so good at(distribution and commanding the defence). I also think its a mistake to play Bruma when Bamba/Mee/Vitor probably is better combinations. Do you remember how much slating Ricardo got for the missed punch? I said it then and say it again. Missed punch like Ricardo or be beaten standing on the line, helplessly, like Weale did - What's the difference? Then we have Weales long shot positioning and probably something Ricardo does position wise that equal each other. They both have two advantages on eachother but Ricardo has a better distribution so he wins it for me. I think Weale has showed how hippocrates do. When he does something bad it is because he didn't play when he was good(a run of two games when Bamba was a superhero) and Ricardo gets all the shit in the world just because he likes to punch the ball - against fans regulation how a gk should do in the Championship.
Fox92 Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 The third goal reminds me off when Ricardo came to punch against Portsmouth and missed completely, leaving the goal open. Bamba was at fault as well for heading a flat cross.
ozleicester Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 The weale/Ricardo debate has meant that no recognition of the two cracking set piece deliveriies by Gally?... for 2 of our goals. Two sharp, accurate deliveries = 2 goals.
ScouseFox Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 So 5 of our last 6 goals have come courtesy of great balls in from Gally.
