Should we follow Fayed's/Fulham's example and have a statue?

There is only one statue that should go up - A 29ft, solid gold Ormondroyd.

Only 29ft? Why not make a life size one

we'd at least get his nose for that.......

I think the time has passed. Fans today know of him, but not anything about him really other than he scored many goals.

I think Walshy in that stance after scoring against Derby at Wembley 1993 would be great.

That would be cool

There is a good argument for Chandler but it would be better if at least some of the fans could relate to the statue. Hardly anyone who remembers him is alive. Walshie is remembered by most and actually won a trophy with us whilst here.

And Rowley was arguably a better goalscorer than Chandler but was here for less time, and is more well known in football.

Weller is generally regarded as our greatest player so I won't argue with that one.

I actually think we just have a best 11 statues placed around the ground.... you know..... draw up a list of best goalkeepers and get the fans to vote on that... next week vote for the best right back.. best LB ect ect... Would be a nice way to spend a few minutes before the games just walking round the outside of the stadium looking at all the statues ... endless discussions too on who would of been a better choice and what people did ( or didnt! ) like about the one chosen. Each player could have a plate describing their careers too...

The club could even get each one to be sponsored by a local company with a TINY lil company logo somewhere on the plate minimizing the cost of all these although that could end up looking tacky...

That would cost a fortune .Maybe we could do something like the boston red sox. They have stone plinths with a brass face of a famous player.

I tried to find a picture but couldnt be bothered.

you mean the bloke who plays roy cropper? he called Leicester fans a bunch of ignorant wankers once, as everyone on the concourse at old trafford started singing "does she take it up the arse" during half-time a few years back, I know as I heard him say it, so I wouldn't vote for him.

Think you've missed the point of this topic. ;)

How about Alison King - the bird who plays Carla from Coronation Street? She was born in Leicester...

I'd rather watch a statue of that for 90 minutes.
