themotivator Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 i for one would very much like Sven to be the manager next year...
Benji Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Not sticking your neck out mate, it's just called sanity and realism. No team had to catch up like we did when Sven took over. The man has more contacts than almost anyone in the game and if he and the owner's (money) stay, we'll be absolutely fine next year.
CKB Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Oh no doubt Sven will stay, he will be given the funds to build a team in the summer and then we shall see what happens!
davieG Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 You put your Sven Goran in. You put your Sven Goran out. Put your Sven Goran in and you shake him all about. You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around. That's what it's all about.

Bring them in, kick them out. I am sure the new owners will be much more patient!
cc_star Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 No one surely wants Sven out... it will cost us £1.5m to get rid of him for a start... more if he renegotiates an extension in the summer (which he's got previous form of doing before ending up sacked) He deserves the summer and 10 games or so But at the end of the day he's been here 7 months and has been given a free reign to sign almost a whole new team and he's come up well short. The coming up short doesn't bother me, but it has been obvious for well over 10 games now (longer than Sousa was given) that Sven doesn't know how to halt our decline, so I think he does have a case to argue with his bosses... and if his wrongs aren't righted into the new season (qtr of it, so around 10 games or so) I can't see how anyone can defend him (without bringing up his record for previous decades)
Bryn Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 I don't want him sacked. But I hope he learns from his mistakes. The defence is terrible, loaning in a bunch of kids is not the way to build from the back. I'm sorry to mention this, but if you want a shining example of how to use the loan market, Nigel Pearson is the man. I still think SGE is the vibrant future of this club, but this division is a learning curve for anyone and he must show his character and respond. Here's to a great pre-season with him.

I do hope you're right... For me, the past few weeks he's appeared utterly clueless.. I would assume (for authority on this see Babylon) that we have the worst record in the division over the past month or two?
