acooling08 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Just the English players eh? It so happens that, being English, are best legends are English. Also having had mainly British players in our history, they spring to mind. After Izzet I'm struggling.. Bamba could be are next foreign legend.
gazfox9 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 I have no doubts that had he stayed fit he would have gone on to be a legend of our era, unfortunately he hasn't played enough games to show how good he is. I still maintain he's the best defender at the club and hope he does get at least another year, remains injury free and goes on to show his true ability.
ozleicester Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Harsh! The guy has been FLAWLESS this year, not a single mistake, legend
Jimmy Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 did he get a new contract? sven was on radio leicester a few days ago and he didnt sound too keen to renew Tunch said he expected talks to start next week from the same show
AlphaMaleFox Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 He's no legend, that's for sure. However, he does deserve a years extension to prove he can stay fit and can play to Svens standard. No I think he's just a very nice, humble man who is grateful for a 2nd chance. I'd be disappointed if we didn't offer him a contract on a pay as you play deal at least. This.
Jimmy Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Never a legend!! Played pretty well for a few games then got injured, how is this legendary? Walsh, Elliot, Weller, Worthington, Linekar, Claridge etc are legends. such a legend you can't even spell his name right
StanSP Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 such a legend you can't even spell his name right Really pisses me off that does. Not just with LinekEr either.
ta-fc Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Tunchev Legend? = No Massive Potential = Yes Worth a short term deal = Definitely
Candidcamera Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 He was the only defender under the Mandaric years who looked better than the crowd. He was totally in control and read the game well. His style of play would suit the current management but he has been so long getting back that it is a tough decision. I hope we manage to see if he really can get back. I think that we have been so long in the doldrums that a player who stood out when they had their chance is a praiseworthy individual.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 Cult hero as opposed to a legend best describes Tunch.
