halfpipe Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Hey guys I'm originally from Leicester, but moved to Lincoln before my 1st birthday, although the majority of my family are still in Leicester.. so I've always been an LCFC supporter. As of tomorrow, I'll have a motorbike.. and I'm hoping to get a season ticket as soon as I possibly can. But parking-wise.. is it still possible to pop into that Somerfields car park? Probably changed the name about 6 times since I last went to a Leicester game.. but I remember everyone used to park there and just tell the police they were going shopping ;D People still do this without any problems? Cheers

smallpauldj Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Ain't Lincoln lcfc to on the rare occasion I drive I park on a dead end side street near mfi. The signs say 1 hour no return but all the times I've been there never no ticket.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 The best place to park is the new estate with all the flats which can be seen from the ground across the river. Its on the corner of upperton rd and western boulevard, just past the boating lake. Free n all
JoeyB Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 if your coming on a bike, i'm fairly sure you can park it in the car park behind J block, near the bike shelters?

halfpipe Posted 15 May 2011 Author Posted 15 May 2011 Cheers guys Will look into all those places.. would want somewhere relatively safe to leave my bike as well tbh.. 'cause they're a hell of a lot easier to nick than cars Any more suggestions on places to park? Shame about Morrisons
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 if your coming on a bike, i'm fairly sure you can park it in the car park behind J block, near the bike shelters? This is correct, difficult getting away after the match tho, as vehicles are held back while crowds disperse. But as a biker myself I'd say it's safe to use it.
MrSpaM Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Things are about to get a lot harder for people to park. All the streets off narghborough road are going to be for permit holders only soon. I live just off the Narb and i've had a letter from the council telling us were going to be issued with one permit per household, if you have more than one car you need to pay extra. I'm tempted just to buy an extra one for the year just so my dad has somewhere to park on match days.
ajthefox Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 I know your not supposed to and I don't as I park at my dads work opposite the train station, but I'm sure loads of people still do. Last couple of times I've walked back there's no end of people leaving co-incidentally the same time as the match has finished.
glen parva fox Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 You can park at the ground if you have a motorbike, they even supply lockers for your crash helmet too
Kenners Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 You can park at the ground if you have a motorbike, they even supply lockers for your crash helmet too Is this still the case? do you just turn up at the ground or make arrangements?
