Foxblogger Posted 5 June 2011 Posted 5 June 2011 Perhaps, in the interest of fairness, we should also consider the distances each sides supporters have to travel in order to visit every other ground. Leicester fans who went to every away match travelled approximately 3,862 miles, the fewest in the division. By contrast Swansea City fans (7,245 miles) had the most travelling to do. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/sep/29/ships-named-after-football-clubs
ajthefox Posted 5 June 2011 Posted 5 June 2011 Really, a Leeds love-in? Really? I just threw up a little. My God, people. Love in? good one Something annoying still praying on your mind..? Their following is significantly more than double yours. I hate Leeds as much as the next guy but you can't argue that their support is quality. Stop being such a biased twat.
foxaholic Posted 5 June 2011 Posted 5 June 2011 Found this on a Bristol City forum Leeds United........................ .3465.1 Nottingham Forest.................2081.0 Norwich City.......................... 1971.0 Leicester City........................19 68.2 QPR........................... ..........1562.1 Cardiff City.......................... ..1530.8 Burnley....................... ..........1476.3 Hull.......................... ..............1404.6 Derby County........................ 1319.8 Millwall...................... ...........1216.2 Crystal Palace.......................1 204.6 Ipswich Town........................11 97.5 Portsmouth.................... .......1194.5 Middlesbrough................. .....1059.5 Sheffield United.....................103 9.7 Swansea City.........................9 60.6 Doncaster Rovers...................936.8 Barnsley...................... ..........898.4 Reading....................... ..........894.1 Watford....................... ...........880.4 Coventry City.......................... 844.5 Bristol City.......................... ...734.8 Preston North End..................624.2 Scunthorpe United..................515.7 Not surprised Cov are down the bottom but honestly didn't expect Forest above us. I know there are many factors in away travel, I'm disappointed we didn't get over 2k but things like Norwich on a Tuesday night didn't help. Doesdependsomewhat how you are doing bottom 2 were relegated and Sheff United would have been in top 3 or 4 but for dreadful season
phillthefox Posted 5 June 2011 Posted 5 June 2011 having made the trip to every away game, Ipswich was amazing despite the result, love the chants health and safety nightmare health and safety nightmare lalalala lets have a greater following next season in our prem season push
Bluebirds Boyo Posted 6 June 2011 Posted 6 June 2011 Yea coz the Cardiff sheep shagging support was sooooooooooooooo good, stop being jealous that us teams have so much better support then ur tin pot club!! Oh yea up the swans!!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes.
shailen Posted 6 June 2011 Posted 6 June 2011 Leeds are by far the best away support in the league. Lets be honest!
lestajigs Posted 6 June 2011 Posted 6 June 2011 x2 Was a bit OTT It's about as ott as a Cardiff fan, coming on here with that pathetic post!!
m00nie Posted 7 June 2011 Posted 7 June 2011 Ain't bad for us, but u got to take your hat off for Leeds away support!! And how shit are qpr fans, they been sitting at the top off the league, from nearly the start of the season, there biggest home attendance was only 18000 so if you took it as a % of there support i imagine there away wasnt that bad..
JmorsonLCFC Posted 8 June 2011 Posted 8 June 2011 is there any way i can find out the away attendance from each away game for every team? Would be interesting.
Dan Posted 8 June 2011 Posted 8 June 2011 Really, a Leeds love-in? Really? I just threw up a little. My God, people. Jesus, how small-time are you. "Threw up a little", yeh, because a side are rightly being praised for good support, despite having no proper rivalry with you (I quote "proper"). Don't be so bitter. Yea coz the Cardiff sheep shagging support was sooooooooooooooo good, stop being jealous that us teams have so much better support then ur tin pot club!! Oh yea up the swans!!!!!!!!!!!! Ffs, bring back bad rep.

Madrid_Fox Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 4th is a cracking effort considering our final place in the league. Next year we might do better, hopefully because the football will be better. But next year we add 2 more local fixtures in Birmingham and Peterborough. As daft as it sounds, West Ham is only 1 hour and 40 mins by a combination of train and London Underground. Not to mention 2 big trips have been lost in Swansea and Norwich. Could do a little better next season.
