MC Prussian Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 I dont agree. And their attendances are pretty crap apart from for the big derbies etc. Dont put English football down, it's the best in the World in every aspect for me. Not true. In general, clubs in the North of Italy tend to attract way more fans than those in the South. FC Torino or Bergamo can boast average attendances of at least 18k up to 25k. Siena's ground holds only slightly more than 15k, but is usually pretty well-attended. On the other hand, you have Triestina, with a lovely grand stadium (similar size to the Walkers), who have just been relegated.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 The best country in Europe to be a fan is Germany, end of story. Safe standing at every game, able to drink on the terraces, cracking atmosphere, cheap tickets and few problems with hooliganism. Good football as well in the Bundesliga.
The Doctor Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 aye, German football is a haven for football fans.
FoxyPV Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 Last season I regularly gave my seat away to a nice young lady who just wanted to sit with her dad and her boyfriend. No harm done, just meant sitting in 157 instead of 156. But, in light of this, next season I'll bring a machete and tell her to back off, otherwise I'll cut her tits off. Nothing says Ultra like having a scarf tied around your wrist .... and your trousers around your ankles.

There is a lot more football on TV in Italy than in England. On Sky Italia you can pick any of the games to watch! Thats why their attendances are lower. Can only see English attendances going down if ticket prices continue to rise!
Stadt Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 The Ultra's got called for continental style chants, songs etc etc... but like the Poznan it was Shit but as soon as another club did it was the dogs bollocks, Same with 'we love you', So could we please start singing the Drinkwater song and LSF as we won't be a clone club in our clone stadium. Barcode style.

Voll Blau Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 LSF would be class. Bet you no-one joins in if someone starts it though (speaking from experience).
Libertine Dream Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 LSF would be class. Bet you no-one joins in if someone starts it though (speaking from experience). I think it would lose the rhythm and beat of LSF and just become a simple la la la la la la leicester, hope it does get going though, suggested having it for goal music and before the game ages ago in the hope it may catch on.
Stadt Posted 13 February 2012 Posted 13 February 2012 What we could do is sing all 3? Yeah, exactly more songs original or not as it adds to the atmosphere!
bluearmyfox23 Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 I've been dreaming for ages over L1 moving to the KOP and the whole of the KOP being taken over by ultras!! It would be IMMENESE, but like I said its a dream and will never happen D:
1964FOX Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Personally I'm not a fan of this LSF chant, it's very basic and likely to end up sung as Hey Jude. However I will give it a go at Watford tonight and at least everyone will know the words.
Weller in Tights Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 I wouldn't mind us becoming the English equivalent of Atalanta Bergamo or AS Livorno (just sans the Communist flag ). Quite liking the Communist flag, would look good in Blue, therefore 'avec s'il vous plait' MC Prussian Dont mind 'cloned songs', new songs, the old classics (Which I have put loads on here along with others, check out other threads) just as long as we make some noise. In fact on Saturday against Cardiff (god weren't they disapointing , they are normally much louder than that). I thought the atmosphere was good and the St Pauli cloned song with the twilliring of the scarves really got the family end going. MAJOR SALE IN SCARVES I PREDICT or hunting through cupboards to find old ones. Well done to K and L blocks and the family end. In Fact, you know what i even saw the odd person in the 'Kop' joining in.

I don't often at posts, but I did at this. Plus it's nice to see people embrace a foreign culture.
Sharmania Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Sing your heart out, even when you're losing 6-1.
Weller in Tights Posted 14 February 2012 Posted 14 February 2012 Definately felt the atmosphere was very good on saturday considering the away fans weren't great. We often seem to need a vocal away support to get us going (eg Leeds/Derby). Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. L and K block really seem to have got it together, and there is a little group of 20/30 up at the back of the Family stand (where me and my young son go) next to the away fans, that sometimes manages to get the family stand joining in. Just a suggestion those of you in the Kop who enjoy an atmosphere, get in the J or K blocks next year or the family end if you have kids. I await to be shot down by the "oh god not this thread again" "OHH god your spelling/Grammar/syntax is awful" etc
