millzi Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 I don't like it when people get through on just solely sympathy but he was genuinely a really good singer I thought. Is the woman that isn't Asian with that AWFUL shirt on, the foreign, female version of Simon Cowell? Korean Ant & Dec :crylaugh: :crylaugh:

CKB Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 I wonder if this gets showed in North Korea? maybe they have there own version.. Could you imagine that and Kim Jong-il on the panel (because lets face it he would be).. Some worker belts out a lovely version of John Lennon - Happy Christmas (War Is Over) and Kim Jong-il shoots him on the spot

MPH Posted 17 June 2011 Author Posted 17 June 2011 I suppose this is a kind of a good story but nothing like the Korean Lad... Kurt Nilsen, a plumber won Nowegian Idol in 2003 and then went on to win World Idol and was famously called ugly by Simon Cowell in his after-song comments. Never a truer word said. Now Susan Boyle has a face like a popped Boyle on a slapped arse but this guy truly is the ugliest bugger you ever did see... yet a stunning voice. If you have the patience and death wish sit through all the song... its hilarious just how much the Norwegian singers ' feel' this song If you don't then Skip forward to two minutes and listen to Kurt take his turn to sing a verse. This is a version of hallelujah but he won world Idol with a rendition of Beautiful day and, dare i say it.... sang it better than Bono. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2NEU6Xf7lM&feature=related

He is definitely the best singer within that group, not sure about the one that sings 3rd, sounds like he's got a cold The gap in his teeth is just something else though, talk about...
DB11 Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 Sob story! What would have been so bad about going on and singing? He knew what he was doing. Though he was a good singer, and I think he would have got through on merit.

ajthefox Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 As "great" as that story may be it's not right that it's aired. These stories only serve to cloud peoples judgement and it's unfair. You can think you're being as fair as possible but that information about him is in your head and is bound to effect you subconsciously to some extent.
purpleronnie Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Makes you wonder what kind of country doesn't help a 5 year living on the streets.
